WP shock isn’t too bad, with a re-valve, but the WP Trax (Pro Components) shock works better IMO
I haven’t tried any KYB products on a KTM.
I'd take a well-tuned production shock over the Pro Components Trax any day of the week. Interesting note, the new works shock is much closer to the production shock in design then the kit Trax shock.
Or you could do what Red Bull KTM is doing now with Sexton, and run a production shock with a KYB piston inside it...
Oh no you didn’t!

Kyb piston in a wp shock...once again, WP 10 years late to the table scarfing down small scale tuner left overs 💀
This is the move I'm making with my 350F.
I've heard from some other fellas that they like the Showa 50mm piston better.
What's your feeling on bladder vs piston ML?
I want a schrader since I do my own shims and service pretty frequently.
I'm in the KYB side of things for sure.
We just built some trick shocks with HSC adjusters and shorter overall length for the KX500. I rode one today and it's a huge win.
Bladder all day, personally.
Thanks, I haven't tested one back to back and I'm personally new to owning the KTM brand.
My buddies say the same about the bladder, but they all got it with a complete revalve.
I'm a back to back test kinda guy. I did the REP linkage Saturday at Washougal. It was rough and rutted enough the last two motos to feel an improvement. The bike is still shit in the whoops, but I'll get there with some shims and maybe a spring.
You going to get in trouble for that one ML?
Personally I like the KYB piston design better.... was trying to find a used KYB shock that I could use the body/adjuster/bladder and piston from and use the WP shaft and clevis to build a shock for a 350XC... but they are hard to find.
