Welp... It finally happened. My good buddy called me up wanting to get rid of his low hour '07 knowing I literally bleed yellow. I have an '05 but with ~150 hours, and couldn't pass the opportunity for the last of the Mohicans (yes yes yes, ThEy MaDe An '08. The BNG's would be coming off anyways). Brought it home and framed it in couple of hours.
Fast forward to assembly and realized when I sold the PC triple clamps that came with it, I sent the clamp bolts too. OBVIOUSLY you have to go titanium at that point, so what was supposed to be a replica of my 125, is going to be even nicer now I guess. Couple more weeks and she will be done.

Off to a good start!
Nice..there is a decent looking 05 close to me for sale, at a fair price….I don’t need another bike🤔
As I am sure you can see in the background, a may be a little biased here but of course you need another bike, especially an RM!
Iam a Honda guy but still have a soft spot for a rm250!

Love me a rm build, did you paint/powder coat the frame or is that original frame paint
Looks a super clean bike.
Powder coated flat black. Had to after removing the CDI tabs and adding the HPSD Mount
Thank you Sir! Stay tuned. Should look even better in the next month 🤘🏼
Another round of ti bolted up, wheels mounted, another day of wanting to hear her scream.
Super clean! Do you have a different dome than stock in the cylinder head?
Slightly higher compression than stock. Bad luck with too much compression on my 125 and eating through motors.
After a debacle with brand new steels showing up rusty… moose basket and brand new Hinson is in to match the inner hub, pressure plate and cover. New OEM steels/fibers/spring and buttoned her up. Need to mount final plastics/trim the side panels for a “newer” (but not restyle) look, get suspension refreshed and she’s done.
What brand of footpegs did you go with? Where are they from?
Propegs Titanium from the previous generation KTM's from I think it's 04-15. Not cheap, but worth it. You can make the brake pedal tip for the KTM fit too with some grinding/shaping and new M5 hardware.
My new boots just shuddered at your footpegs
