Puts less stress on the sprocket bolts
My son is only one of a very few that race Suzukis here in Australia. It’s 100% his choice and he feels the bike doesn’t hold him back at all at his level.

Crazy how much that looks like the central coast of California. Full on Santa Maria/Paso Robles vibes.
They've got the Showa stuff working awesome, including the BFRC shock.

I was thinking the same thing
What ever happened to the “two stroke kit” that was suppose to be able to just bolt a 08 rm 125 Motor in to the current 250f chassis. They were suppose to have a kit that gave you the motor, carb, engine hangers to turn your 250f in to a 125. It was pitched as buy the 250f and the kit for jr when he was transitioning from 85/supermini then you can just put the 250 motor back in.
Tell your son his bike looks sweet ! Braaaaaaap !
Dean Dickinson at R&D can really make those rip.
I was working at SMAI when they were looking at that. It was a great idea, but like many great ideas that come from the USA, it was ignored by Japan. (My perception.) The way I remember the project coming together was that the RM-Z250 had a center-port exhaust and a frame that would accept it, thus also being in the right ballpark for a 125 engine. They built an "RM250" that way, too - Broc Tickle rode it for a few tests if I remember correctly.
Not long after that, the development department at SMAI got closed down and all such projects in America were effectively stopped.
Motocross bikes should all have kickers.. don't be a pu$$y.
What's that guy up to?
