Seems he’s been in the news a little bit the past 24 hours. Someone made some pretty nasty inferences about why he hasn’t been on the campaign trail with his wife. Just wondering what the general reaction to those comments might be from the folks here on Vital.

Aplman, you've always been one that could debate and disagree with maturity and dignity, you always kept stuff above the belt (even when others didn't offer you the same consideration), though we disagree on most things, I've always respected that about you...but lately something has changed with you...It's got some EIDave "meltdown just around the corner" vibes...I hope that's not the case...but what gives? What changed? And whatever it is, you should go back to the old Aplman...

There have been hundreds of these types of polls and I’ve never seen you bitch about them like you appear to be now. The only difference that I can see is that this one paints your chosen political candidate in a poor, but ultimately fair, light.
But since you feel that this is petty and sarcastic enough to comment while you seemed fine with the other polls, what do you feel about the comments made by the candidate who absolutely knew that Major Haley has been deployed since June? Are you supportive? Do you think that they were appropriate? Do you think that it reflects in any way a complete disrespect for the fact that he is serving his country? Does that sort of disrespect infer at least some disrespect to others serving their country?

This should have been comment number 5,385 that made this dude unelectable to over 98% of the people. But nope. It’s not. He can do no wrong in their eyes. Has had some bangers lately. Telling Russia to invade NATO countries and we won’t support them. This. The list goes on. How far the Republican Party has fallen. Just 12 years ago they had a respectable candidate for POTUS.

As for Trump, his comment was stupid and he should apologize. I’ve been very clear he isn’t my first (or second or third choice)…I sincerely hoped he wouldn’t be on the general ballot…but…he will be, and between him and Biden? It’s not even a hard decision…they are equally morally bankrupt…so based purely on policy…it’s an easy decision for Trump.
Titan, clearly this dude is still trying to come to terms with his horrible choices and total lapse of judgement. He has to feel that his pocket book has been lightened. We all have felt the cost of living increases. It's ridiculous to pretend otherwise. The current economy is easily the worst, hands down, economy I've experienced in five decades. Bring up the bullshit numbers, drink the kool-aid, and grab your ankles, but the economy sucks and is hanging on a precipice once again. These fully politically entrenched people would rather double, triple, and quadruple down on lies and deception before accepting any culpability in their choices.

The comment was that the countries not paying their share into NATO should not expect those that are to cover them.
Its an agreement that lots of countries are not sticking to.

Of course, his ‘story’ is bullshit as NATO member nations don’t really pay dues or go ‘delinquent’. The agreement is to spend a minimum percentage of their GDP on military expenditures, not to pay into a common fund. But he knows that his disciples won’t know or understand that.

Seeing as how we have been overpaying our share for many years as they have underpaid i'm totally ok with some tough love "talk" to let them know it's time to step up on their commitments.
