Its been pretty cool how dirt works has been finding ways to keep the track designs fresh by trying some different things with the layout of the tracks and even some different obstacles. The next few tracks coming up have some pretty cool features imo.

Glendale above has 4 kinks in the middle of the rhythm lanes which slightly change the direction of the lanes. Pretty cool feature which you dont see that often. It breaks up what would have been 4 super long rhythm sections into 8 normal sized rhythm sections. The kink makes it so they have to be treated as distinct lanes unless someone can jump across the bend. Going across the start straight the massive double is back again which was so legendary a couple years ago. You also have a massive flat track turn which goes right in front of the start gate, the entrance and exit are both sand sections too. Finally you have a camel hump triple at the top where the middle hump is taller than the other two. This seems to be what has replaced the dragons back this year in the name of safety.

Next at Arlington you have a step up which has shown up a few times this year and has given a few riders namely cooper webb some problems this year, these have been used to slow riders down. You also have the first jump of the next rhythm slightly angled vs the rest of the rhythm section. Maybe this is designed to get them to roll the first obstacle of this rhythm section?

Not a ton I wanted to point out at daytona, but the camel hump shows up yet again.

Finally at birmingham we have this apparent triple onto table, but where the landing of the on-off is angled to the left. It would be pretty crazy if someone would be able to on-off the table and then turn their bike in the air and make that next single. This is a weird set of obstacles, not exactly sure the route the riders will take over this section. After that we have yet another step up. Theres been quite a few of these this year, cool to see.
I won’t be satisfied until they bring back Indy or St. Louis tracks from ‘09
More mud and more sand is what makes things interesting.
It's like they don't stick to the blueprints when building these tracks.... for example..when you see a McDonald's or bk or taco bell commercial..and you go and get that....it doesn't look like it does on the commercial...
Nothing really new to any of these. The “camelback” at Daytona is just a normal 3-5-3 footer. Those kinks have been in sx quite a bit and rarely do they change the rhythm sections, usually just makes them funnel to one side and keeps the section the same for everyone. As for the 3 on and angled single after, that will be a typical 3 on/off to a straight

Anytime you have turning jumps like they are doing currently it leads to one line. Shit designs, not enough dirt, zero creativity. This is super simple and easy to fix. They have a plethora of great racetracks from the past they can easily re create.
what happen to the over/unders? i always loved those.
When rhythm sections have a turn like that, it usually makes the entire section extremely one lined. It is one of those things that looks cool on the layout design and is terrible in practice. All the other things look like great additions and I’m looking forward to seeing them.
Give me a triple Carson brown won’t jump on a 1996 cr250. Now that would be fun to see wouldn’t it. Can he qualify on a vintage bike.
I'm not even going to pull up a top 10 of the most interesting tracks from '99 through '01... I just typed in "2000 Houston Supercross" because I vaguely remembered something about it.
The big double after they go down the start straight that lands into a flat/plateau landing that THEN goes over a hump is more interesting than anything we've seen in years:
...Not to mention there's way more dirt, big wide lanes, big obstacles in general, etc. I'll keep saying it, track designs peaked almost 25 years ago.
Ever notice how they NEVER build pyramid type jumps anymore? Again, not enough dirt.
I am waiting for this tracks turning whoop section to be brought back. Always thought that section was cool.
