sort of carrying on from Boomslang's thread,
with what seems like unprecedented protests in europe with the farmers, the US boarder crises, do we have a legitimate chance of a modern western democracy falling over?
Canada...for sure....lol
i'd probably put money on the USA breaking up first, but im not sure that its not just social media algorithms make it seem worse than it is,
They have all already sold out to China. They are just to afraid to admit it.
The 1st “First World” country to fall will be Russia.
When I saw their tanks…rolling into The Ukraine in a “2 wide” column?
When I see them barley winning that war…
Yup. My friends that are still in the game are more concerned about “Russian stability”…way more concerned about that than they are Russian military capabilities.

As long as America is the biggest economy and/or military in town, it’s “too big to fail”…so I don’t worry about it failing much (there will be painful repercussions of our flawed monetary policy over the past 50 years or so…we will have to pay the piper some day, and it will not be fun…but I don’t see our country completely failing.)
China, Russia (if they can be considered first world countries) are the most likely to fail…China is far worse off economically than America…same with Russia…and therefore much much closer to failing than America.
Russia is def not what I would call a first world democracy , but when Putin goes i agree with you , I think the rush for power will be frightening
Do you think with states becoming further apart in ideology, there could be a California or Texas that secedes from the union ?
The United States
If you ever tell anyone that I was this rational about these matters?
I’ll deny it!
Oh, and, Good Evening to the far down under.
thanks, lovely sunny tuesday evening here, on our Waitangi day public holiday,
i am heading for the very far south on thursday, racing in the burt munro challange in invercargill
Get some & Hang It Out There!
Russia first, then China. If the US were to dissolve, it would likely be Texas seceding and the rest of the states not having enough willpower to actually fight a hot civil war to retrieve it.
Texas ain’t Skeered.
Texas is 1 of the weakest states in the country. They’ve proved that for some time now. Wi. Could easily wipe tx off the map. We hv more guns per person , people that keep there skills sharp with a gun, a lot of Indian tribes , organized crime in high numbers. If you go everywhere in America & deal with people from all ovr the world. A lot of the Eastern Europeans & other countries r leaving America. Because it’s a 3rd world country now. Most Americans can’t afford rent & live with a few people. Biden will use another mob guy to make ballets 24/7 & get the trks setup to hit the election bldgs the same way as in 2020. 2026 by July 5th there will be a civil war maybe. I,ve seen militant groups training with m16,s in the boonies. Russia just wants to drag out a war not win it quickly. There trying to bait us into it. There analog to computer weapons r not accurate. A Russian solder now American citizen told me they had 2 clips in a ak47 for training some had 1. I know a lot of Russians there really Huge Pussies. And nothing to fear. There Nukes r so old nobody has the codes that’s alive. Are military is not a super power anymore. The biggest propaganda machine there is .i was shocked by how weak they r they always quit on the hhg rig. In trucking there the biggest babies saying I can’t go to the s. Side of the ne. Citizens could wipe them out. It comes down to a much higher number of men. China is big trouble for us. Much larger #,s in the military & extremely secretive. We deal with civil war type of violence all the time. My best friend is black ftom nyc . I saw him a couple days ago. He wanted to show me his new co,s trk. He said what cal you got. I said I hv a few knifes, pipes, stuff like that. He opens the compartment above his head & pulls his gun & says boom your dead . Laughing. He said a knife your living in the Stone Age. Just shoot the mother f er , quick & clean.
Uh-oh…
The Trucker is trying to start a fight!
Here’s a pic of a gorgeous Lithuanian princess she’s really a very special women . Very full of Love , life and very interesting. Very sweet and caring women. I tried to talk her into moving to America & said I could hv a job and everything setup. She said that she’s afraid of America. And named a few things. She was in Poland site seeing
when missiles went way off target & hit Poland.
Wales has a blanket 20mph speed limit in all built up area, it is painful.
Wales has fallen.
Not at all just facts. We deal with a civil war a lot. I,m really know as the boss on the world strongest hhg rig more than trucking. Had to meet & pay organized crime in the ne. To work in there area & to hush the unions. There’s a higher # than military in the country. What people don’t know . Military weapons go missing. A good 1 was a 53 ft container stacked to the ceiling front to back . That went missing in a Chicago railyard. They found a few in Detroit 5-6 yrs later. Of course they reported that they were sold to a militant group in a 3rd world country. But there’s no proof of there story. Inside job rumor was 25k payment to the rail employee to let it slip out. None of thd cameras were working. The rail yard was canal st . It’s the one on the s end of the Dan Ryan downtown. You go through China town to get there. Funny 1st time going there I,m thinking ehy r there so many Asians out today. Haha then I saw all there stores.
Every western country is dependent on manufacturing from China, it's not just the US.
Pit Row
I'd say China and Russia are significantly more likely to collapse than any western countries for a variety of reasons, with demographics being the primary ones in each.
Of the truly western countries, Italy and Germany are both in the same boat as China and Russia, but Germany's industry will allow it to hold out for much longer. I'm not super confident in Italy, especially given the historic cultural differences between the North and South, but time will tell.
Canada isn't in an amazing situation, but their immigration keeps them afloat. Plus being in USMCA will keep them out of too much trouble so long as Uncle Sam is top dog.
As a humble Aussie, I feel confident in saying that the Yanks aren't going anywhere, so long as they fix the growing political division.
We're arming up while the Dems are digging in.
We can still buy weapons and rounds here in Colorado.
Enough of us around here to skirt off the lookie-loos.
I agree. They have all sold out to China.
This is closer than you think.
We are already seeing parts of states wanting to become other states( Eastern Oregon wanting to join Idaho) , Texas and Florida are my picks California wont because it is still suckling off the tit.
Its only been a couple years since, Garrett County Maryland wanted to become part of West Virginia and the WV governor said bring it on. More than happy to have ya.
Denver and everything north to Wyoming will become a "Cali/NY"
Everything south of Denver is still RED and holding tough against the Polis sanctuary Bullshit.
Not happening here in El Paso County
Looking around closely, it seems as though a sizable amount of the country is falling from 1st world status.
City by city,
State by state.
Yeah, that's an easy fix.
I never said the countries sold out to China, I said every western country is dependent on manufacturing from China.
Western companies chased profit by lower cost manufacturing in China, provided a cheaper product to consumers and increasing profit, which pushed their share price up. Western consumers made the choice decades ago, when they started buying these cheaper products.
If you are looking for somebody to blame, blame consumers for wanting products for lower prices and blame companies chasing profits, by off shore manufacturing, to reduce costs. This is how capitalism works, are you going to blame capitalism?
I'd take fixing political division over demographic issues any day.
No, I'm saying they sold out, bought and paid for by China. Which was my first statement that wasn't quoted above. The Gavin Newsom tour would be the most open and recent example for the US. You wouldn't have what you described without trade agreements. Like most deals, someone wins, someone loses but there is always a cost to someone. What are they buying and who are they buying it from? The current US administration fought tooth and nail the last Brazilian election to favor the candidate who would give China more influence in Brazil, which is the last South American country that China doesn't have a grip on. Why? The cost is on China but everyone else is going to pay the price. Which is why I gave the response I did to the OP.
Mitch McConnell's wife's business would be a good example if you want to keep it bipartisan. Her whole fleet built and financed by China and all her cargo provided by China. How does that happen? Maybe they are just lucky to be so smart.
