why do people try to “butch up” when it comes to valuing the aesthetic design of an MX bike while at the same time drooling over the design of cars, trucks, and even street bikes.

Thanks! It was what I was picturing in my head right when I saw the resemblance to the 80's era bikes.
It looks like it might flair out towards the front of the shrouds like the 80's examples people posted. So it may not feel wider while standing on it. maybe while sliding forward. But it could help direct your feet/legs to the correct position to flow through corners. I don't think they have and top down images yet. But it will be interesting to see how the bike is compared to the current bike.

Glad HRC are in the MX2 mix. Perhaps they can send some of their promising MX2 talents over to the US? i cant imagine that HRC are too thrilled with Shimodas performances so far. And Hymas - well i dont want to be mean i dont think he has the mongrel in him. Id love to be wrong. Ideally if Hunter goes back to the 250s it would be ideal - i cannot believe how bad his 450 time has been so far
