Michigan has a lot of tracks, and we could use some more too!

In all seriousness,  I am seriously surprised there isnt another track in the Metro area.  We have Supercoops and Twisted in Milan, those are great... but it would be killer if someone would start a new track in Howell, Pinckney, Salem, Hartland, or some other spot in that area.  Oakland/Washtenaw/Livingston County needs a track

Phoenix.  When Canyon closed, we lost the ability to get our kids some seat time during the week.  ACP is awesome, but the scene is good and will only grow if we had another track that was open Wed-Sunday and in an area many could get to in less than an hour.  It would make a big impact on those of us with kids that want to get them more track seat time.

None are run well.

Lots of private tracks

What qualities make for not well run?  Track prep?  Publicity?  Staffing?  Erratic/unpredictable availability?  Crappy infrastructure?  Treating people poorly?  Genuinely interested in what the dings to a good track experience.

Prep-100%
The Rougher the better? No.
95% don't want ruts left in the faces from the Pros that's were here during the week whilst we were at work.

Lack of flaggers.
You're running OPEN practice and there's 3 dudes in lawn chairs on the blindside of the biggest hits.

SPLIT practice.
Split it....but not into 17 classes when your charging us $50 to ride.I understand diesel is expensive and you need to pay more than 3 flaggers but we also hoped for more than 2 15 min sessions over the course of 8 hours. It was $50 to ride but it cost a shit ton more to do the damn thing before i added kids.

I could continue...watering...infrastructure etc..but l also realize what it is.
The sport is brutal....BRUTAL...in so so many ways....Sure there's Financially but this sport will also take yr ability to fucking walk away in the blink of an eye also.

Making it as safe as possible would be my top priority owning a track and what I look for when i ride.

I'm not in the PNW but I get this. Very valid points. The number 1 thing me and everyone I know that rides thinks of when deciding where to go ride is "How much ride time do I get?"

Another is How sketchy is the track?

I enjoy the track getting rough by the end of the day naturally but I also like a groomed track especially to get warmed up. I don't wanna be coming in cold trying to hit jumps with deep ruts in the faces
