I’m curious if they have “rain day” equipment, or just lower end bodies for those days. I shot one local high school football this last fall in a downpour and just kept my fingers crossed that the weatherproofing of my equipment wouldn’t fail on me.

I’m also curious why anyone would downvote this thread.

The weather resistant bodies and lenses work pretty damn good in the rain.  It's the cheaper bodies that do not have this weather sealing.  Add a plastic bag for a little cover and you are good to go for the rain.

I shoot underwater and have flooded a couple bodies and lenses pretty bad in my water housings.  One of them surprisingly survived after being completely submerged and the other didn't.  I also had a 5DIII in the rain for several hours with no cover in Tahiti and it survived.  When they get wet just remove the batteries and let them dry out in warm place.

Yeah, I know they do. It still has me on edge! I have a lot into my junk, and though it’s covered by insurance, I still worry.

For those that don't know, Align is Cudby, Rich Shepherd and Mike Emery so it's no surprise they get great images.

Actually, Rich hasn't shot any races in at least a year. Simon was off race duty for a couple of years, but he shot A1 this year.

Believe A1 was Mike, Cudby, and Adam Merrow.
