Only in So Cal can you see top factory SX/MX riders on the side of the highway..

I was driving down the 10 freeway past Adam Chatfield's practice track and noticed someone going faster then most humans could go. So I went to investamagate. Sure as heck, its was Stroupe, Moss and Adam Chatfield and a few other guy's.

Stroupe was flying on the 250. I went and spoke too him afterwards.

I asked him how he was feeling... He said he felt great and was nice to be healthy. I didnt realize that he broke his hip at hangtown and that he came back before he was a 100% last year.

He also said that he felt the big bike had helped him and that he was unsure about doing it at first. Big commitment to jump in the big bike class like that. He got some confidence at Phoenix. He really seems to be in a good place physically and mentally. Austin also mentioned that if he wins the east crown he will stay and defend it, otherwise he will get kicked up to the big bike.

Moss was also hauling ass, but he didnt sound overly satisfied with his speed, but that he was getting there. Adam Chatfield has a nice set up there and was riding good, wouldnt be surprised to see him in the top ten.

Sorry I didnt get some more and better pictures. I didnt even know I had my little camera in the car until the wifey mentioned it. Thats why only a couple pic's of Moss.

I've seen this track many times and didnt realize that Adam Chatfield had rented/leased it from the people that live on the property. It was nice of Adam to let me in. Well I drove in and he let me go out and watch..lol

The test track in corona ( Kawi...? Maybe used to be yamaha...? ) is on the side of the highway in plain view.

Stroupe is for sure going to be a factor in the east... As for Moss, amazing the bad luck that those brothers have had..

Chatty should have a solid year this year... he's got his head in the right place, the kid does it all on his own minus the wrenching...

My dad used to have a rental equipment company (he is no longer part of the company) we kept the machines on the pads across from the test tracks.. i loved growing up there and watching them day in and day out lol

it wasnt Adam Chatfield, the rider was Alex Snow.
And yes the truck was given to the second place novice. But realistically what was the chances of any of the top 10 being an actual novice in a race like that

The other CA track was going to be above Baldy Mesa kind of behind Comp Edge, It was fenced off but had only been roughed in.
