Wife surprised me with A1 tickets, first time going to A1/ a west coast round. What else moto related can we squeeze in? Figured we would check out Pro Circuit as it's not far from where we are staying.
Going with a friend/couple, he wants to rent bikes and ride Glen Helen Saturday before the race, I'm tempted, but worried we wont have enough time to enjoy everything.
Open to any and all suggestions!
Mxfactoryvacations will be your best bet for bike and track rental. Troy Lee has a pretty amazing shop as well
Huntington Beach is my go to the day before or after.
TLD and PC are cool to check out, but the Saturday AM riding may be a stretch: Best to do Friday before the race or Sunday afterwards. With the new (earlier) start time, it would be difficult to check out any practice sessions or the pits before the “night show”. Grab an empty Monster can out of a recycling bin before getting to the stadium for free pit access, there’s usually a set-up at the home plate entrance.
Trying to ride GH on Saturday before would be a tall feat with the new earlier schedule of SX.
I would recommend Kurt Nicolls rental service. Champion MX the Friday before or Sunday after. However, looking for rentals this late, I believe it will be slim pickings if at all. Lots of folk with the same idea come in for A1 and are booked already.
