I just recently bought a slightly used 7 x 14 cargo trailer that has nothing in it. Trying to figure out what people are using as their flooring/coating for the plywood floor. Appreciate any advice as far as products good or bad that y’all have used.
Most popular seems to be "coin flooring "
I put LVP in mine. Cheap and simple to install.
Did you glue it onto ply? Pics?
What I've seen work well is epoxy first then the "coin" flooring.

I am going with this stuff in my 7 x 16..
I put some outdoor fabric carpet in mine from Home Depot. Holds up well and cleans up well.
This is all I have. No glue because it's a floating floor. Bought a piece of aluminum edge metal to cover the edge by the door opening. Used some 1x2 to cover the edge on the walls.
I like the Raptor liner. You can get it in gray and do a foot of it up the wall. Then just hose out the trailer with a water hose.
We use the thick rubber horse stable mat, approximately 3/4 thick rubber one side slotted and the other with coin/diamond. It is very heavy but literally indestructible
I used gray Behr heavy deck coat with some anti-slip in it. Painted about 6" up the walls too. Easy to install, bulletproof so far over 3 years of very heavy use. Brooms/washes out easily. Not slippery (even the ramp) when it's wet muddy. Sexy? No.
I own 4 enclosed trailers right now - I have had many many more (20 +?) - some for fun and most for work.
MY BAD EXPERIENCES:
** I bought one small trailer one time from a street guy that had linoleum tile (custom Harley setup gig) - looked so cool - black and white - we literary tore most of that out the 1st time it got wet and you could not even walk up the ramp! Could not get the bikes back in the trailer at a mud ride.
** We tried the lock together tiles (plastic) and they looked great but they shrink and expand - especially in the sun - big bubble bumps etc. - tossed those
** We tried that cheap rubber roll up stuff from Costco - Looked really cool but bubbled in the heat too then tore.
** A buddy of mine used Deck paint (grey) recently - very affordable from Home Depot etc - LOOKS great BUT - it sucks when it gets wet.
SO FINALLY -
What we have come up with - it is CHEAP and EASY install and importantly very easy to repair as well if you tear it up.
I wish I could make it grey BUT we use this: - Just clean the plywood really well - And spread this on with a roller or old brush etc.
***. On the ramp** - we take smaller portion of this in a container and add FINE playground sand and mix it as best we can - roll that onto your ramp etc. It defiantly show dirts etc - But it last for ever. Easy to clean - sweep and freshen up once in a while. The sand in the liner/ramp mix works great in Water or Snow. Fine sand - super clean etc - no big parts.
When you really tear it up - You just roll or brush over it again.
Here is what it looks like when it is DIRTY - a quick sweep and hit is with a little water (if you want) and it black and shiny again! This floor is probably 3 years old in this picture and has never been retreated.??? This little trailer is ONLY for dirt bikes and get used all the time!
good luck!! enjoy your new trailer!! The current work setup!!
How many gallons and coats did you do with this stuff?
This is what I used in my 7x18 as well. It’s not the cheapest option but it looks super good and is easy to clean with a mop.
I went with garageflooringinc.com and ordered the roll long enough to fit the trailer. Trimmed it down and used angle aluminum for trim. It looks really nice. I didn’t even glue it down. The anchors for the lock and loads hold it pretty well.
on my aluminum 7 x 14 - I think it was about a gallon and half - We went with 2 coats since the trailer was brand new etc - we did the trim around the base and some other parts too - shelving in the front etc. - More on the ramp etc. I can't find a picture from when the floor was done - Love it though. I put some 1 x 4 trim along the side for trim and we coated that before we put it up - clean lines etc - Someone above said it too - Another brand - but you can basically just hose the trial out.
If you use it - just get a gallon to start - if you run short - It blends right in if you don't put it all on in the same day etc.
**. the small trailer after one coat - This stuff does not have as much texture (much more smooth) and the other brands I have used - I kind of like that on the interior floor for cleaning - but not enough for the ramp - which is why we add the sand. I was still putting this trailer together in this picture etc.
**. Here is the larger aluminum trailer - LOVE this one - don't use it as much for around town but great for longer trips and other uses. All the colors... lol - I have a theme!! :-)

Im a residential painter by trade, so naturally i painted mine. I used Porch and Floor from Sherwin Williams. I get it cheap as hell too so that helped. Recently we got rid of that trailer and it held up fine for the couple years we had it. Works fine for a less fancy route.
Always amazed by how you guys can fill any sized trailer with one bike.
3 bikes, 4 straps.
Nothing in the middle of the floor to trip over.
And if this was worth doing properly, its a +1 on the floorpaint and sand.
Garage floor epoxy from Sherwinn Williams. Has held up great for 13 yrs. Put some "shark skin" or fine sand in it for traction.
I just ordered this flooring this morning…it’s 25% off with free shipping. Was $250 ..
They run deals like that all the time. I ordered a sheet to do the door but I haven’t taken the time to do that part of the trailer. This stuff is pretty awesome and easy to work with. Once you do some kind of trim and seal it, you can pressure wash this thing out with no issues.
Epoxy paint with grit mixed in. Durable, cleanable, and if it needs it, super easy to add another coat when needed to refresh.
white epoxy paint is great on walls and ceiling too!
