In the crate 2007s will be over double that. Think they're twice as fast?

That '83 looks way better than the new stuff too. Bead blast all the paint off that engine and it would be a work of art.

Yes, thats why I got off the white YZ 80s in the spring of 83. Figured the 83 wouldnt be a piston skirt breaking, crank blowing POS like the 82s but no dice. So then I got two green bikes.

Had a nice Chrome PSI pipe too. Wish I had all the pics from then. 5 Bike length holeshots, turbo cranks, big chrome pipes. Good times.

I had a new KX125 in '83. I liked that bike.

125 jr class 1983. A couple of the other guys in my class had Mugen-Kit Hondas...I still got lots of holeshots.

I remember riding the 80 around a track that year too and thinking " Holy Shit!! This thing rips!! "

Had the 82 and 83 model. Also had an "80 model 125 and 420. What a big leap in two years for the 125, from slowest, to fastest in class.

Ha ha... Paul, I had a super chromie PSi pipe on my 1990 YZ 125 too! Ralphie bought it for me for a wedding present. That pipe actually helped the power quite a bit. My little brother in law had an 83 or 85 or so KX 80 too. Ralphie and I sponsored him. He was pretty good.

I used to be sponsored by Bruce back in the 80's and 90's. He took me to my first pro race at Pontiac in 89' I think in the PSI box van. Man that was the shit. Still have a few PSI pipes hanging in the garage too.

We did alot of testing with those pipes and they did haul the mail.
