with a discussion Russ and I were having over at the nice board. I went to the double at the Astrodome in '75 and thought they ran 250 and 500 bothe nights, but the AMA records seem to indicate 250 on Friday and 500 on Saturday. My memory has tricked me before.

Don't know if this helps but I remember them running the 250 and 500 on the same night at Pontiac around the same time.

This is all off the top of my head but 500 was won by Gary Chaplin (really fuzzy on this could very well be wrong) and 250 by Marty Smith.

Friday night, Feb 28th, Jim Ellis won the 250cc class on a Can Am.

Sat night, March 1st, Steve Stackable won the 500cc class on a Maico.
