Lol gotta find a way to keep arguing when you were clearly wrong, and told me I had no clue. Roczen was commited to racing Supercross and coming to the US. Prado isn't committed to it, he's dabbling with the idea. And Roczen was 16 at the time, racing the Lites class. Prado will be 23 and debuting in the 450 class against the guys who have been riding supercross since they were 13, that sounds a bit more risky if you'd ask me

I don't know if you've ever ridding a supercross track. I'm going to assume you haven't. Those titles don't really translate. How is a MXGP track...

I don't know if you've ever ridding a supercross track. I'm going to assume you haven't. Those titles don't really translate. How is a MXGP track similar to Supercross in any way? There is a reason any video circulating of Prado riding supercross has him riding the tamed down whoops backwards. Because they didn't want to RISK it.

There’s also video of him riding SX whoops the right way btw.

I would think all the people he’s been around whilst riding SX in the US know what they’re are doing and also don’t want him to get hurt. If they thought he wasn’t up to it I’m sure it wouldn’t be an option for him to race in ‘24

My point is,Prado has 3 titles in his pocket, the risk to be injured will not have the same effect like Roczen switching teams, competing the fist SXs of the season and then attacking the GPs to win his first title. It has nothing to do with the skills and i believe Roczen talent is superior of Prados regarding SX.

Would be cool to see but I think it won't happen, KTM Group has 2 GP title contenders, SX could be a meat grider for Prado an it seems Jeffrey is injury prone, the worst case scenario is both Prado and Jeffrey injured and another World Title for Honda and Gajser, because Gajser knows that he's there to win GP and titles and not take unnecesary risks racing other series

Yep X2

I seem to remember this kind of thing happening in the 90s to 00s with some of the MXGP guys. I also seem to remember they all had some learning curve before they looked comfortable.

Pourcel was 2nd behind RV in his first SX, beat RV to win in his second SX, then went home the following weekend to prepare for the 2007 MX2 championship. Looked comfy from the get-go.

Takes huge talent to ride backwards.

As much as I’d like to see him in SX I believe the risk is too big. They already have Chase in SX.

That’s a fact.  There’s a long history of exceptional SX talent from France.

I'll admit that this was the first thing I thought of when the news came out. Credit where credit is due, maybe he continue on the path of news that isn't total BS now.
