Bought a skid steer recently. Just finished rebuilding my 1/2 mile track at the house. Getting tired of riding solo , if anyone lives in the WNC- Hendersonville area and wants to ride sometime. Invited one guy on here but he couldnt bother to get back to me. lol. Oh well, me and my brother got some laps in yesterday. Had to revise a couple things as I was over jumping a couple of the landings.

Looks sweet man! Wish I was your neighbor lol
Did the skid steer do everything you needed? Thinking of renting one to revamp my kids peewee track and make it a little longer.
Wish I lived in your area! You would get tired of seeing me out there
Lookin good! Nothing better than your own little ripper in the backyard

I typed up a long reply and lost it due to "scheduled maintenance" lol. So, ill just say , Yes, the skid steer did a great job in my opinion. We grew up building practice tracks with one. My cousin did anyway, not me, I just enjoyed riding on them. Track built originally by bring in 12 tri-axle loads of dirt and using my Kubota tractor with front end loader. This was a huge update.
I travel down there every spring for a cycling trip with the lads / we stay in Brevard. I love it there..............might have to bring my moto next spring lol. Looks like fun..........i can blow berms and scuff the top of jumps like a Pro lol.
Right on man. Im only 8-10 mins from Ride Rock Creek Mtn bike park. Im sure you probably heard of it. Just let me know if you bring your MX bike next trip.
Awesome track! I have a track and mostly ride alone too.
I don’t have many up close shots.
Oh yeah man! That looks pretty awesome!!
That’s some beautiful country on that one!
I like how y'all refer to your tracks as your "backyard". True in a sense, yes, but literally 90% of the members here probably have a "backyard" of an acre or less, so most would relate that to a backyard.
Now, the back of the property, or other slang for backyard, Yo
Nice private tracks though guys. Super lucky
Im in the Lincolnton area, about 20 minutes down 321 from Hickory. I go up to Hendersonville to ride MTB quite a bit, my wife would love that, she's fast in the woods but doesn't want to ride a real moto track on an open practice day.
Got a buddy that lives in the area so might be able to kill two birds with one stone mountain bike/craft beer one day and moto the other.
I assume you are hitting ride Kanuga or Ride Rock Creek? Both are pretty close. Just PM me and I will send you my number. I used to race Top Gun MX in the 90's. I havent been down since its under new ownership, as i wont be racing any more.
It starts at my back door. lol. But i have 6.5 acres here, and a 68 acres in SC that i can ride 2.8 miles of single track in the woods. I prefer MX tho.
Pit Row
will do man, yeah Top Gun is 5 minutes from me, they do open practice wednesday nights in the summer but I usually cant get up there by 4pm when they start.
Hendersonville is about 40 minutes from me. I'm pretty slow and well really not that good lol. I got some buddies that would definitely come ride.
In that case, PM me and plan to come up. You will fit right in nowadays!! LOL
How much riding can u do thru the winter ?? guessing it would freeze up ? Love this area of the US....great people and beautiful geography.
Nah, it rarely gets below freezing for a full day and hardly ever snows. We have it made here in that aspect. Year round riding. Hot as a mofo in summer tho.
Thanks. Yes very scenic around 5k ft. Had guys out last wed from Best Moto Sports in Lake Havasu and they uploaded a short video.

Sweet! Ill check it out now!
Damn thats nice!! I just went and bought a plane ticket and checked on shipping my bike out there! Haha!
We just moved to Prescott and our boys are starting WORCS racing. Would love to talk to you about being able to come out for practice.
The 3-4 inches of rain in NC the last two days has beat down my track and driveway. What a damn muddy mess right now!! Whenever i do finally get to ride again, its gonna take half a day to fix the damn track.
Welcome to having your own track. I've had several and the ratio of work to ride hours is at least 8:1.
Kanuga is so nice. I did Belgian Waffle Ride there over the summer, great single track and great area to cycle in.
