How are we liking this GET ignition so far?

I am thinking hard about picking up a 24 Gasgas and I’m really wanting to get into the ecu tuning.

So far so good, been working with the 125 and it’s a good tune, the 250/300 is coming along.

if you want to tune them, you have options which are the Wi-Fi com unit, or investing in the MAYA software as a GET dealer and loading, tuning, etc.  but you need to have a business for them to sell to you.

I opted into the MAYA and have been working on learning about it, not easy lol.

Hmmm.   Was the MAYA software reasonably priced? Also is your MAYA software owned on your work station or do they force you sign up for never ending license fees?

I own it, it requires a key to be used, the license is good for 2/4 strokes.

the cables were about $800, software was like $1800, so a few grand to get in.

tuning is best done via dyno to get baselines then changes to see what happened..with the maya to borders are off so you have full control which is good if you know wha you are doing..bad if you suddenly decide 18 deg of IG is better but have no way to check and try to ride it, boom.💥

Thank you for the insight JBone.   I think that’s reasonable for something that you own. It’s bleeding edge technology in our genera!

To me it’s something that must be learned if you want your bike to run exactly how you want.  Especially after mods if your into doing them yourself.  Like tuning a carburetor.

When you say the 125 is a good tune, are you referring to the mapping that comes preloaded on the GET when you buy it?

Yep, one day once I get super proficient at it, I hope to make dozens of dollars at this!

Yes, the “base” maps seems good, did a few tweaks with some help and it feels good.

I wish there was a way to have EGT with a sensor fitted so you could tune around post combustion bc there is zero..
