Had pics of this monster before season then he just disappered. Harvested one 11/12/23. Gun season starts this Friday.

Crazy story on the coyote. There was a group of 4 came through rough housing one and going around in circles I'm assuming figuring out pack order while this one stayed on the outter edge following along. The group causing the comotion got to about 25 yards and this one came around to my side in an opening. It was the female of the buch. Assuming that's why she wasn't in on the other stuff. Two of them stuck around with her for a good while but she ran behind me before expiring and I couldn't get a shot on either of them because of the tree.image-20231115123802-1image-20231115123811-2image-20231115123820-3image-20231115125452-1

There is a pair of Foxes that have decided they want to eat my barn cats food.  My cats dont play and will attack anything around with zero hesitation.  Got tons of these kinda clips,  even one of them running that Fox up a live oak tree and kept it tree'd for hours.

Screenshot 20231119 200231 WhatsAppStaying at my buddies where I hunt. Him and his wife relocated to South Dakota for 18 months to attend a hot rod school. His house is winterized so no water and no heat . Thankfully the electricity works. It's been cold nights inside ,I've been sitting in front of a buddy heater while I watch TV before bed. It's cold enough inside you can see your breath ,I got a warm mummy bag that makes sleeping comfortable.

I use the Tactacam Reveal.  Great pics and videos, many settings, and takes good night pics as well.  You can also request HD pics and on demand pics(for extra $$ of course).

Nice animals everyone and thank you for the camera recommendations. Im gonna look into them both. My current ones are just shit. Been a rifle guy my whole life but recently took up bow hunting. The learning curve has been fun and exhausting at the same time

Tactacam Revel for cell cameras and Browning for regular game camera. Browning just had a sale of buy one get one 1/2 off. Not sure if it's still going on but they are hands down the best cameras I have found. They also make a celluar but their plan is a little pricey compared to Tactacam.

Nice! Where are you hunting?

Odd double eye guard on him. Looks like he was in a few dust ups.

Thats an awesome picture boxvan Smile

I'm missing hunting deer this year due to some family issues but I hope to be back out next fall. Normally I would be wandering around the desert scablands from next Monday through Dec. 8 doing late archery for mule deer. Spot n stalk is the name of the game. Stay in the channels, never horizon yourself. Pop your head out and find one hopefully bedded against the bottom of a basalt cliff. Check the wind, circle around till you are almost on top of them. Take your boots off to make that final 30 yards till your standing on top of the cliff above them with an arrow nocked. Take that last step forward while drawing and let an arrow fly...hopefully not over their back.

Its like being a 12 year old boy again. Smile

Man I’m so bummed out this year, my friend sold his land that I hunted for the last few years.

Now I need to find a new place to hunt, but I really can’t afford to purchase a lease here in Texas.

Hopefully one of my other land owning friends will give me a invite.

WTF! As bad as NY is with being controlled by NYC we have a tremendous amount of fresh water fishing ,hunting and hiking trails . Sucks to hear other states don't have the same public lands.

Admittedly 2% of Texas is still a lot of land. However, it’s privately operated facilities that offer the best bang for the buck. For the buck!  Get it?  Man, I crack myself up…

How do the whitetail eat down there? The rumors up north are they taste terrible because of their diets down south?

Depends on where you are. West Texas they eat a lot of mesquite and crap, and I find them gamey compared to North Texas where they get a lot of acorns.
