I don't know if anyone noticed but I removed my comments because I thought they were too personal and a bit rambling. I still hope everyone will enjoy this poignant movie. It's not only about the love of racing motorcycles.

I don't know if it's available on DVD. I found it while surfing around and then saw it posted later at Superbikeplanet.com. If you go to this link http://www.nzonscreen.com/title/love-speed-and-loss-2007 you will find more information about the film. Also at the bottom of that page are links to two more great films on Kiwi greats of motorcycling, John Britten who made the bitchen V-twin roadracer and a story about Speedway great Ivan Mauger (I love his perspective on winning, "If you show me a good loser you show me someone who consistently loses")

Actually, should be a sticky.
Any body who has ever welded, fabricated, machined and raced, will get so much out of this film.
Loved watching the Konig factory shots. At first glance, looks crude, but if you look closely, everything is well organized, and bleeds craftsmanship, and pride. Even the electrical conduit is perfectly placed.
The Konig 250cc water-cooled two-stroke, dominated modified midget racing for years.
It was finally displaced by the Yamaha TZ in the mid to late seventy's.
Does any body have any links regarding Konig history?
