Until roads are passable, dirtbikes, motorcycles and scooters will be one of the most efficient means of delivering and distributing aid throughout Haiti. Dirtbikes can maneuver over and around difficult terrain and debris. Dirtbikes4Haiti is gathering dirtbikes in the Dominican Republic for delivery across the border into the quake zone. We need funding, bikes (already in the D.R.) and possibly riders. Please join our group and let us know how can you help.

i might be missing the point, but why not spend our US dollars in US? what do the haiti people do for us?
im not saying they dont do anything. i just dont know. i dont keep up on my world history much. all i do know, is there is going to be a unbelieveable amount of our money spent there that could be spent here to help our troubled economy.

The UK is in debt by billions apparently. People over here have no money ,apparently.....

But yet we're sending millions over........apparently.

lol. all i asked was why we should help them. just because they need it doesnt mean we should HAVE to give it. america is already so in debt and has its own problems that noone else helps us deal with. i just dont get what haiti has to do with us and thats what i asked. i never said we shouldnt help.

I would love to go down there for a week and help out.. Sure a donation would be easy also, but I think actually going down there and helping would be a great way to give back. People in the this country don't realize how good they have it, and take things for granted. I go down to Mexico quite a bit so I guess this hits home a little more for me.

well congratulations. i dont have a problem at all with you donating your personal money. its yours, you earned it, do what you want with it. i dont have the extra money. who knows if ill have a job monday morning. itll probably be outsourced to china.
ive heard they dont have any kind of means for clean up. i run heavy equipment, and thought how cool it would be to go there and help out if they ship some equipment in. but unfortunately i cant miss that much time from work. i have bills to pay.
