It's time to start embracing E-Moto in Pro MX/SX...Fossil fuels will be fazed out more and more over the next couple years.

I'm a conservative that reads a lot. If you people think that they have come this far to let some of the laughable ideas I have read here get in their way.....You just need to pay attention to what's going on in the EU. They are not playing.

Once they have their Digital Currency in place, you will do as your told.

I don't disagree with the currency and all that but if you think the conservative side of politics is any salvation you are sorely mistaken... look...

I don't disagree with the currency and all that but if you think the conservative side of politics is any salvation you are sorely mistaken... look at the rise of conservative power globally, the history of conservative tech big brotherism... the anti-freespeech crackdown from conservatives... the Russian protectionism on Ukraine directly from conservatives...

All of the things you fear are directly driven by conservatives and E-Moto has zero to do with it... But being a conservative really just means living in a subjective bubble where logical reasoned argument is 'socialism', logical laws are 'fascism', science is 'the deep state' -- and you eat up propaganda like the're tic-tacs.

“Hey guys, I come onto a motocross forum to argue politics.”

Yeah, it sounds about as cool as it is.

I don’t know about an e-bike but the CF-Moto ATV’s are supposed to be legit.  Houston areas deer hunters buy CF-Moto like they got good sense.  The big KTM/Kawasaki dealer down the Gulf Freeway/45 South sells CF.  I’ve had two different CF dealers tell me they sell more CF ATV’s than Jap for what it’s worth and not much difference in price either.

I doubt it will be Varg ish, but it might be good for Chi-com.

They're a garbage product. Absolutely awful. One of their side by sides nearly killed me because the throttle stuck and the brake calipers snapped off. Oh, and good luck claiming anything under warranty, I worked for a dealer that sold them, they do anything they can to make the customer pay for repairs.

They outsell the Japanese because the Japanese are falling way behind. Polaris and Can-Am in terms of ride quality and product range are way ahead and the sales numbers reflect that. They don't make 2ups and they haven't updated their ATVs in any significant way over the last decade. Suzuki, Honda, Yamaha and Kawasaki are just churning out the same stale product.

No idea on the warranty side of things, but that doesn't surprise me.

The Japanese manufacturers are FAR behind anything Polaris and Can-Am can put out these days for anything on 4 wheels.  The KRX is decent but underpowered.  The Talon and YXZ are decent but severely outdated.  With how big the SXS market is, you'd think the Japanese companies would at least put in a modicum of effort here instead of chug along with the same tired models.

It's even worse with ATVs.  Yamaha is the only one making sport quads anymore, and they've been difficult to procure new.  Honda's biggest ATV, the 680cc Rincon, has all of 38hp.  For comparison, the Polaris 570 has 44.  The 1000cc twin cylinder units from Polaris and Can-Am are close to 100hp.  Despite this, the Japanese units still sell for a premium.

From a consumer perspective, I see why the CF Motos are popular.  You're basically getting something in between performance of the Japanese and Polaris/Can-Ams for a bargain price.  How this will translate to eMX bikes, I have no idea.  If they can put together a decent machine for less than the equivalent Japanese bike, it will be interesting to see how the market reacts.

The Japanese ATVs still sell for a premium because they are WAY better for long term use.

Polaris and Can-Am ATVs are disposable compared to a Honda or Yamaha.

There's no atv in the polaris/can am line touching a Raptor 700 in reliability and power.

The bullshit to fact ratio in Ebike threads are out of hand.

Having owned ATVs from multiple (Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Polaris), I am not sure that I agree with that.  You can neglect a Japanese unit for much longer without issue, but when properly maintained I have found the Polaris machines to be just as reliable.

In the old days, they were much less expensive, so that did offset the maintenance costs a bit.  Nowadays, the performance is so much better that I can tolerate the more frequent fluid and belt changes.  The only other complaint I've had on the new Polaris models is suspension bushings.  Otherwise, they've been great machines.

Raptors are in a completely different class than a big bore 4x4 machine and I've stated as such.  They also suck to ride when most trails have been bombed out by UTVs.  For people with easy access to the desert or dunes, it's a different story.

I hate you for making me compare a true sport quad in the Raptor with the tank that is the Renegade, but the Renegade 1000 puts out a hell of a lot more power and its a relatively reliable machine unless you spend your time buried up to the handlebars in mud. Once you do that, all bets are off with any machine.

I've owned every brand and used them a good bit for work and play. I can say I've had the best luck plus performance from polaris. Want to talk disposable talk about honda brakes. Polaris comes with disc and steel braided lines. They are far superior in suspension engine and brakes. Ive never gotten the hate but I guess when you sell more units than all the other manufacturers there will be complaints. Had a honda Rincon blow a transmission. Honda rubicon blow a transmission. The better hondas I had for reliability were the 300 4x4 and rancher 350 4x4. But they rode like a sack of bricks and were so small, slow, and couldn't do much. Not to mention they were only 3x4 not true 4x4. The yamaha grizzly was decent for trail riding but lousy for work. Suzuki king quad average all around. But they both lack brakes suspension and power of a polaris. I had a sportsman 500 live way longer than any Japanese atv ever did for me. I sold it and it was still going strong. Also I've NEVER had to do anything to a polaris besides a rear brake line which was my fault. Not 1 belt if you use them right. I also towed the majority of the time way over towing capacity.

"Following up the Yamaha Motor - CFMoto joint venture announced on September 15th by Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd., Yamaha Motor would like to clarify that the collaboration solely consists of an industrial cooperation to manufacture vehicles in China, for the Chinese market.

"Yamaha Motor has positioned China as one of its important production and sales bases, and this joint venture is premised on the acquisition of the clearances, permits, etc., required by competition laws and other laws and regulations.

"Beyond that, Yamaha Motor will continue to discuss the direction of the joint venture with CFMOTO going forward with the aim of further raising competitiveness, but no other cooperations are at present in place.

No surprise here. KTM has been using China for lots of parts on the ‘23 & ‘24 models. My new radiator showed up with a Made in China sticker on the box and radiator. It looked to be an f good quality, but it did sting a little bit when I saw that.
