Stark Varg - First Customer Review

You people missed the whole point of what a motorcycle and motocross ra. Is it supposed to be about the first time? I went to one what attracted me. Was the loud noise of the motorcycle in the thundering sound it went? It's the took off from the gate when I was a little kid. These kind of bikes make a sound that is so horrible. It's almost unbearable this would deter anyone that has never rode a bike from even wanting to go to the race track. Probably 50% of racing is the feel in the sensation of shifting through the gears, listening to the engine rev up-and-down, cutting and chopping the throttle over jumps. These electric bikes have none of that they're solutes pieces of garbage. No one should ride 1 if you can't do good on a gas bike. Electric bike isn't gonna make you any better. Sure, maybe you can beat someone out of the start, but they'll pass you because you're skills are still the same as they were..

Reserve comment until you ride one. It’ll change your mind quickly no matter how tough your stand is against them.

Pastrana did a Stark review and he said something that will stick with me from now on....
People talk about "AHH, but you have to bring a diesel generator to recharge it, so its not clean"
Travis says something like: "Yeah, it is not, but Im here for the instant torque and horsepower".
Not only that, the person is kinda assuming that "PETROL IS BAD" so.... haha its almost like a win-win.
I assume clever people actually UNDERSTANDS that individual electric cars and bikes are not going to solve any 'climate change' problem, it will only create more... and we (racing community) kinda KNOW that people that says otherwise (Like FIM and the FIA - the european motorsport entities) are just saying that because its how they get money and support, so.. its just propaganda. ANyway, if this has not been shared here, tadaaa... (the most interesting part was a really short on free style)

Two great podcasts were released this week with Keefer that explain a little more in depth about bike feel. He had one issue where the bike cut out completely. They contacted Stark at the track and Stark fixed the problem in the software remotely. Kind of a cool feature that I never really thought of although the bike cutting out wasn’t great. I’m sure we’ll see regular software updates with them as they slowly get into customers hands.

Has anyone figured out if the sprockets are copied from other brands (KTM Group) or are they proprietary to the Stark?

Ever seen a Downhill Mountainbike World Cup? No sound on those bikes and the atmosphere at those are second to none. Next to that, as someone that did that sport in the French Alps for many years in a row, the lack of sound on those bikes don't make them any less fun to ride either.

Don't like them? Don't buy one, nobody is forcing you to and they won't be replacing 2 or 4 strokes any time soon, it's just an extra.

Pre-23’ KTM sprockets fit but there is a chain clearance issue with the chain guide so you will have rubbing if you want to go with a bigger chain. I’d imagine an aftermarket fix will be available soon…
