Are there any trails in south east Michigan? I always rode MX and want to start trail riding but don’t know where to go.

Not going to find any ORV trails in SE Michigan, everything is pretty much private land other then some state parks.

The Holly Oaks ORV park opens Sept 17th, but I expect it'll be very busy. It's an old gravel pit on the back side of Mt Holly (between the ski hill and I-75), and is a mix of terrain. I understand there will be 50" trails and also under 50" single track only; hopefully the park isn't taken over by the Jeep crowd like the Mounds which is another downstate ORV park NW of Flint.

If you're looking for trails in SE Michigan, the Maumee State Forest in Swanton Ohio is just across the state line (I do think you need an Ohio ORV sticker to ride if you're from out of state). The trails are kept in good shape, the Toledo Trail Riders group makes sure things are maintained out there, they are on Facebook. They also put on the Fallen Timbers Enduro and that's a 1 time a year chance to ride on government property near the Toledo airport.

Any idea on getting the Ohio ORV sticker?  From what I’ve gathered from reading the Ohio BMV site, you have to obtain the non-resident pass in person.

I don’t know the specifics about the sticker, but I have heard that you need to go to the BMV in person. I’ve heard Ohio is one of the easiest states to get stickers from. I would suggest calling an Ohio BMV office.
