Dungey is for real!!!!

He made a tiny bobble at the end. and I truly believe he would have made an attempt at Stewart at the end.

James won't have a cake walk this year, thats for sure.

Dude, that was Dungeys debut race, did you see how much speed he carried for 20 laps? He is only gonna get better.

It's not the first race Dungey has raced a 450

But he's the real deal.

He really looked good. Man he had the crowd going there at the end before he broke traction at the end.

Even Stewart himself said, "It looks like we've got some new players in town." Uhhhh yep. See post The Beginning of The End.

Yes he did and his name is James Stewart.

Wait, who won tonight? Wasn't it James Stewart?

He might have won the race, but the look in his eyes said that Dungey won the battle, as now Stewart has something to deal with...

Rookie will most likely beat "the fastest man on the planet" and so there will be much crow eating in coming months.

Hey, who would've known that James actually has to show up and race to prove that he is the "fastest rider ever."

Should get interesting when Reed is back up to speed.... Imagine that race if Reed was lodged in 2nd!

Yeah, would've been much better.

Although, I doubt that Reed will be a factor this year. Sorry.

Dungey looks like he could be the #2 guy now but when Stewart decided that it was time to take the race over he did. We will learn more next week. You never know, Reed might wick it up because he has nothing to loose now.

Dungey raced 450 SX in Indianapolis, Minneapolis, and Daytona in 2008. He didn't do any 450 SX races in 2009.

Dungey's riding was amazing, but if you were watching the lap times, you'll see that JS slowed by more than 3 seconds from the second last lap, allowing RD to catch him. RS's last 3 laps were almost identical. He did NOT reel JS in, JS slowed.

I think Stewart was just trying to put on a better show.....and no, I'm not a James Stewart fan! lol

The only thing dungey proved was that he maybe the # 2 guy and that he's faster than the rest but as far as stewart goes he was playin with the kid and from the time the gate dropped he knew he had this he just was puttin on a show, did you notice after the all the booing on the intro he went out on the hot laps and gave everyone nothing to see or take a picture of this guys knows exacatly what he's doin he's still on another level, skills and mentalSmile this guy turned it up 2-3 seconds a lap with 3 laps to go no one does that he is the sheriff

I doubt very much that we see James wait until the end of the race to try and take the lead from here on out. I wouldn't be surprised if James tries to make a statement next week and tries to run and hide.

I personally don't think he was prepared for Dungey to still be hanging tough that late into the race, nor do i think he was ready when Dungey regrouped and caught James and was close enough to make a pass on the last lap.

Sucks for James, but good for the fans.

It's still James' title to lose IMO, though.

Congrats to Dungey. I'd say there is a new "deputy" in town, though. The sheriff remains the same. Wink

If Stewart was playing with the kid, then why did Stewart almost wad it up several times at different spots on the track trying to stay with Dungey?

Just put it into hyperdrive, but he almost ate shit doing it too..

James still had somethin' in the tank, he was just riding smart and comfortable. Not all "crazy balls" status.

there are two people in the world who can beat JS over an entire SX series -and one of them has two too many wheels. The other one is the man in the mirror

The RD bandwagon is filling up fast with all the RV disciples.

And you know I mean this respectfully, but it's one race.
