Nobody really knows yet, or nothing confirmed yet at least. Weege said multiple times that riders outside the top 30th have no chance to line up and ride for the money but many (also Matthes I think said something like that) assume that they do let riders in to have a full gate for the LCQ at least which just make sense, otherwise there would be 3-4 guys in the LCQ. Guess we know better in the next 1-2 weeks.

Lol.  Yeah, because factories can alter the amount of points he earned.

My understanding is they will "move up" riders due to injuries or others not coming for whatever reason.....but only into the LCQ.  Riders in the top 22 unable to race will be left "empty" until after LCQ so those have to qualify to get in.  My question is will they increase the number taken from the LCQ if there are injuries in the top group?

That's how it was explained...if there are 18 of the top 20 that are racing they will take 4 instead of 2 out of the LCQ they won't move riders in to the top 20. I have heard but haven't seen that if there are injured riders in the 21-30 positions that they will move 31 and so on in to the LCQ, hopefully they will clear this up soon.

Yeah that's the rule aswell I think. Riders that are 21-30th in combined points coming into the playoffs have to ride the LCQ at every event, no gifted spots probably

He's in but has to race the LCQ at each round.

Lol I want to congratulate you on doing the math and reading the article. Some choose not to do so and ask others to do the homework for them.
