hey everyone, just picked up a 2020.5 fc450 rockstar edition with 8 hours!! I'm definitely needing to get the suspension revalved. my weight ranges from 155-160. This is going to be my first revalved suspension. I just wanted to get some advice on where to get them revalved from?! I know of some places like jdi, race tech, enzo racing etc. dont know what to go with though. some input would help a lot. Another question is should i switch to a spring fork and why? Thanks everybody!!

Enzo, Craig Decker in Texas. I tried telling myself it was all in my head what everyone talks about with the air fork. After my second Austrian bike I decided to have Craig do a revalve front and back, but keep the forks air, and I couldn’t be happier.
I have 6500's from JBI on one bike and the DIY re-valve kit from JBI on another. Both are great and the revalve on the air fork is pretty damn impressive compared to the 6500's considering the price difference.
From what I have seen Kreft is a great option.

Powerband has done all of my KTM suspension revalve wise and he has always been spot on. I had Craig Decker rebuild my shock and cones at the track and I was happy with that too. He didn’t want to mess with any setting I had since he said it looked like I had a great setup from Powerband so he didn’t try and sell me things I didn’t need. Either one of those shops would be my choice.
Factory Connection
Your in cali find someone local that you don’t have to ship your stuff too.
1. Congrats on the new to you bike; that's a good one.
2. Are you mechanically capable to remove and send out your suspension or would you prefer a local SoCal tuner to handle everything for you? Both Greame Brough and site sponsor AHM Factory Services are in the vicinity, do excellent work, while being small enough to keep it personal and not "just a number".
3. Budget? Air forks can be made to work good, but you have to keep up on setting pressure every ride. Graeme, in particular, has excellent air fork settings at affordable pricing. Spring forks, on the other hand, have a different feel that many of us traditionalists prefer: Usually more weighted in the front, more consistency, better front wheel bite, etc. More costly going that route, even just the SFF kit styles (with pricier 6500 or KYB-internal or CV options that can be made to work even better).
4. Highly recommend looking into a Pro Circuit or Ride Engineering complete shock linkage that requires a stiffer spring to accommodate their new curve. Seeing that you have a full-height Rockstar Edition, the linkage is a definite improvement out back, especially when your chosen suspension tuner valves/springs around it.
