I didn't want to derail the thread asking why Triumph doesn't copy the Yamaha intake..
My question: Doesn't TM have a similar setup? It appears that their late-model 4-strokes have the fuel tank where the airbox traditionally is, with the filler cap in the right side panel/number plate area, and the airbox is up top, in front of the seat. It appears they have a traditional front exhaust exit on the head though. Any TM owners or knowledgable types that can elaborate on this setup? With pics?
It's been this way for years... Since 2015, I think...
They chose this to enable a rather vertical intake (which can be achieved otherwise).
