Seems sketchy, what's the backup plan if something goes weird and the throttle sticks?

Yeah, in my day we didn’t even have handlebars, we had to physically grab each fork leg with our hands. Well, I call them hands, we only had two fingers on each, we were poor. Seats ? Zoom in on the shock, engine, handle bars. And where’s that tiny mirror coming from?

All AI approximation of reality.

My question is would this exercise work/benefit you if you're riding a 2 stroke?

When you see the handlebars with out the clutch perch it really makes a guy understand how strong handlebars have to be!  There’s so much force and such a large distance from the bar clamps it’s a wonder they don’t break or bend more often.

I've snapped my bars, left side, with chamfered mounts at Mt View MX. Luckily, I didn't crash either, due to a crossbar holding shit together. I also ripped a footpeg off of the right side of a YZF at that same track. Same rhythm section too.

but I am not good enough to be on Star Yamaha, so what do I know?

Downshifting does the same thing, or if body position is right just push the front end down.  But I have downshifted instead of brake tapping.  Same effect.

funny seeing people do drills based around holding on and squeezing with there legs, When the guy upfront is doing the opposite

I think Jett was talking about not squeezing the grips.

I think they are training more to always have the bike under power or engine braking, forget where I heard this but its something about stability and traction suffers when the bike is freewheeling (clutch pulled in and on brakes or coasting). This requires some finesse with the rear brake to not stall the bike so could be part of the reason for no rear brake pedal.

I highly doubt they are running auto clutches as the engine braking is different enough that its noticeable and they would want the bikes to stall in the same situation a normal clutched bike would stall. They are sponsored by Rekluse so they could be running any kind of weird custom half auto whatever deal.

You wouldn't really need a clutch really anyways, little push off and then tap it into first gear then you wouldn't need it at all just stall the bike when you want to stop.

The way I explained it to Jet and Hunter was the clutch can only be used when the throttle is on and not while braking, build the feel through the foot because the rear brake on hard with clutch in hides a lack of skill, it would be like a formula one car using a hand brake at speed.

Hmm, except that to straddle that bike with feet on the ground, she must be about 6’4”, minimum.

Those Barrbabiens are big.
