It has 7.3 hrs on the meter and absolutely no scrapes on the cases or frame, definitely showroom condition. It has a Pro Circuit pipe and spark arrestor, aluminum skid plate and kick stand + hand guards he still has the stock exhaust . The guy is asking $3,200. What do you guys think? I would love to pay $2,500 cash. What's it worth?

It is worth $2600 tops, I just bought a 2005 in the same shape pretty much, still had stock tires and everything on it, I got that for $1800, which I was super pumped on, its never been touched or anything, had to get a new chain for it cause its sat so much the chain was all kinked up, but hey I got it cheap.

Offer him $2500. $3200 is steep in the current market.

That kickstand has to be worth at least $600...

KBB Retail around here for it is $3325. Since it has very low hours and is in practically showroom condition (thats why I didnt look up trade-in as well), dont make TOO low of an offer. See if he will take $2,800. Hes asking $3,200, and youre looking around $2,500. That seems like a fair compromise. Smile

Go see it and take $2500 in one pocket and $500 in the other. Talk, BS, and butter the dude up to see what his hand is. I wait for suckers to give up how broke they are or that nobody has even come to look and then Bam! bust out the cash and make an offer.

I do it all the time. Just got a deal on an 2007 bike with maybe an hour or two on it for $3000. Dude was asking $4000 something. Probably could've got it for $2500 he was so desperate.

Some people are broke right now and need the cash.

Weather is bad in that area probably. Agreed, offer $2500. It is almost Christmas, so not too many are gonna be willing to fork out above that right now. So, it might sell for more, but I'm betting against it in the short term. Although, I will say, if you live in a smaller area and not very many bikes are available, I could be way off. I've seen bikes in small areas go for way more than ours do.

Sweet bike. Make sure he doesn't still owe the finance company! I had some goofball try and sell me a Honda a few years back. Desperate as all hell. When asked about the title, he said it would probably be a while before he could get it to me. He still owed over $3500.00 and I had him down to $1800.00 by the time he coughed up that tidbit of info. Funny shit, like I was supposed to believe he'd pay it off and get me a clear title. Some people! My kids always wonder why I stress how important it is for them to pay attention in school. LOL

Being as that it doesn't have all the goodies you will want yet I say the $2800 is a fair but not great deal. I operate on the fair system. You should get a fair deal and so should he.

You guys are lucky. Around here, bikes are going for way more than that. If I saw that deal in my area, I would already have it by now..

I sold my 07 for $3500 a couple months ago to the first guy that looked at it. Bone stock, very good condition with FC suspension.

Only reason I sold it for so much, is because I didn't really want to sell it. I told him I was firm on the price hoping he would say forget it, then he wrote me a check. Now I have no dirt bike. I fucked up.

I do the "it's all the cash I have right now" thing all the time with a pocket full of more hundreds waiting. I've flipped so much stuff off craigs in the last few months and am just over $4000 in profit on stupid stuff people are giving away like bikes and motorcycles. It's all in the sales and marketing. Easy to make $500 here and there.

$2265 KBB trade in value
$3325 KBB retail value
Print each of these out and take them with you

$5590 added both together - divide by 2 (meet you half way)

$2850 is what I would pay (added 55.00 for the exhaust)
did not increase for other add-ons since they are not of interest.

No reason to try and screw somebody just so you can tell your buddies how you jacked someone out of their bike.

Now if he was asking $2500 then he gets what he deserves for not doing his research.
