I have a full PC system on my 22 crf450, and the head pipe has always wiggled some, but it keeps getting worse.

Nothing is cracked or broken, everything is tight, both springs on, but the thing is super loose now, no way its sealed properly anymore.

Didnt know if anyone else ran into this, I dont know if new PC springs would tighten it back up or if nothing I can do.

Mines stainless, I’ve taken it on and off 3 times tonight doesn’t matter any different way I do it, it’s still loose.

Does your exhaust port have the copper “gasket?” It looks more like a copper ring. The older CRFs had them. Might be worth checking the microfiche and seeing if there is one. Could just be worn out from taking the header on and off.

I replaced the gasket, I think it’s just worn out after talking to more people too.

could weld the pieces together and it won’t wiggle then lol

How many hours are on that exhaust? I’ve been thinking about getting one but I’ve heard multiple people now saying the same thing about them. I also read on here someone having a similar issue with his rs12 exhaust

I bought it used with supposedly 20-25 hours on it, it was spotless so I believe it but couldve been more, I have put about 25 on it myself now, it wiggled some the whole time, but now its excessive and pretty sure the reason my bike pops here or there.

if muffler wont work with my stock header might either buy new head pipe if can, or just sell it for whatever and let person know its worn out, I love the pipe and what it did for bike why I dont want to take it off lol.

The Ti PC header does the same for me no matter which way I rig it, switched to stock header slip on combo was fine. Have a WE and another 450 that have a Ti & Stainless Rs12 that are both rock solid. Ti at 50h stainless at 40h

Did just the pc slip on change the power at all and do you run the spark arrestor in it?

This happened on my 2011. I had the full TI system and I think everything rattled loose because I put a ton of hours on it and never repacked it. At least that's what PC said. I took it down to PC to have them look at it and a week later they shipped me a new header for free. I would just contact them. They've always been cool to deal with in my experience

I swear there was a thread about someone with a Yosh that did the exact same thing.

Me. Yosh wanted me to send the header in to get re swedged but I didn't have the time before vet fest. Ended up having a local mechanic shop use their tools to open it back up a little to create a proper fit. Annoying to deal with but not a huge deal I suppose. I too tried a new crush washer early on thinking I had over tightened or something. Surprising and a little disappointing that this happens with more than 1 pipe manufacturer.
