Holy fuck in 1981 alone we had CURRENT US SX Champ Mike Bell, Danny LaPorte, Jim Gibson, Broc Glover, Gary Semics, Marty Moates, Warren Ried, compete at Aussie Supercrosses. The list didnt stop there...we had genuine qulifiers, heats and semi's because so many riders had entered.


Todays SX series is a far cry from 1979-81 series!!!
The promoters write it of course. Nothing like the "biggest rider line up ever" to attract fans.

Actually I wished i could've seen a couple of rounds, the format rocks! Would be cool to see some one on one battles like that in the AMA series. I thought McGrath's SX race a few years ago with head to head qualifying was awesome too

biggest line up in several years at least...with 3 (maybe 4) AMA top 5 SX riders in the field. "nuttin to sneeze at........"
