At this point could It be a possibility he parts way with Honda early and goes the wsx route ? Missing one rounds one thing , now being out for this weekend surely he’s got little interest in a return to the outdoors ?
You see how weak the 450 field is? When he comes back he’s basically guaranteed a podium (minimum) every week. Add in all the money there is to be made in the SMX playoffs. He’d be pissing away probably half a mil by not returning.
So, give up money to get out of the remainder of his contract, give up any chances of win/podium bonuses, get a worse seeding in playoffs (or even not do them?) And lose that money too? Probably around 750k up for grabs by skipping, and WSX teams are already full/contracted.
If wsx come in with 2 million A year was it roughly for kenny ? Imagine what chase could be offered , there’s no way he’s got any interest in returning to outdoors that championships sailed ? The money is there from the wsx backers I wouldn’t be shocked if it did come out but I wouldn’t be shocked if he honoured his contract either 👍
This is my point if wsx come in with a huge offer surely he’s interested , he’s wants to win titles and he’s not going to get that in outdoors now

Hard no.
He could miss most of the outdoors and still be top 5-7 for SMX seeding and it pays a pile of cash.....and he is under contract with Honda.....and the WSX teams and racing is a sideshow at best. I am glad we have it, but it is basically Arenacross at this point.
So like 3 weeks before WSX starts, after all the teams have been announced, they’re going to find a ridiculous amount of money for this summer and find room on a team? And he’s going to find a way to get out of his Honda contract to go? Because it’s already been made apparent Honda won’t back WSX. And he will have been off the bike a few weeks with no prep. Think that’s a lot to happen in 2-3 weeks for him to get this theoretical huge payday as opposed to just going back and winning a ton of money in outdoors
But a WSX title doesn't mean anything....
Far from a ton of money outdoors , and Honda North America had said they have no interest not Honda big difference , it’s certainly a lot shot but I wouldn’t be shocked even it was to wildcard a couple
Chase doesn't need WSX money nor does he care. Chase wants to win SX and MX, not ride a series that designed for 2nd tier riders.
A WSX title doesn't mean shit to him, nor does it to most top riders.
Correct Neither does a outdoor title in which he’s god knows how many points down , one thing that does mean shit to every rider is money that would be the pull
Millions of pounds means a lot
But somebody like Chase would be in line to make way more in the 3 race SMX playoff races than he ever would in WSX. Guys like Chase are driven to be the best by racing and beating the best...
Chase is a champion and wants to win. Money comes second to this. Going back out and finishing the rest of outdoors is going to ensure he keeps his speed up and his outdoor skills stay sharp. Plus giving Jett some real competition will show his dominance for next year. Riding WSX and lapping the field every race isn't going to do anything to help improve his skill or make him faster. Racing Jett in outdoors certainly will. Plus he's going to make good money being on the box every weekend.
Exactly. Winning WSX to Chase means nothing. There's no real competition.
He would still be in for good money in the smx , and earnt good money doing wsx or wildcarding some
Probably don’t mean shit to Tomac either but there he was in Cardiff
Kenny is rumored to be making 2 mil a season from just the WSX series. I'm not sure saying Chase would make way more in the 3 race SMX playoffs is 100% factual.
Pit Row
So the wsx should hire a ringer to beat their ringer LOL
For Eli it was a one off offseason race...he was paid highly just to show up and did it because it didn't conflict with anything...he never had any intention to race the series.
That was after the US season wrapped up, I would bet my house that he wouldn’t of done that with a current US series going on.
comparing apples to oranges. He's showed up for one race that didn't conflict with the regular race schedule.
And when the webbs Anderson’s etc are offered big money what’s going to happen ? You don’t honestly think there going to drag there arse round the USA doing a gruelling outdoor series that doesn’t pay shit ?
Of course be wouldnt because he’s contracted to do outdoors , contracts are changing
Do you not know how factory team's work? Yea the series itself doesn't pay shit but the teams pay $$$$$$$ them to race the series. SX pays like shit too, It's the teams that dish out the big paychecks.
Tell me a team that’s paying over 2 mil in bonus’s for a rider to race outdoors ..
you don't get it man.... lol.
I get it perfectly , when Anderson / Webb are being offered 2 plus million to race wsx all summer I’ll bet my last dime there going
Webbs that interested he sat out the outdoors last year
