Hi, I’m curious if anyone has any experience with this bike? I had a KTM 890 R, and am interested in how the 1200 is off-road?

I got to spend some time on the Tiger 1200 Rally Pro.  Super fun bike.  Huge smiles compared to my Tiger 900 Rally Pro.  The 1200 has 50% more power and only weighs about 40lbs more.   I might have to upgrade.

Hey HS, I've been looking at 900 Rally, looking to upgrade from a Husky 701. Got hurt back in '21 so no more MX/aggresive off road. So likely 95% road w/ some trails  At 6'1 220# how are ergos? Power OK on the 900? 1200 obviously faster, what makes it really so much better, THX

I have the 900 rally Pro. I love it. My riding buddy has the 890 KTM. I have more power than him (quicker), but he has more offroad tires, so he does a little better in the muddy stuff. We ride lots of gravel. The Triumphs come with 100% on road tires, which is odd since it's the 'rally pro'... When these wear out, I'll probably go with something with a little offroad/gravel pattern.

I'm 5'10" 200# and it is very roomy. Sometimes I wish my handlebars were rotated back, as it seems a little of a reach.

The 1200 adds some cool stuff like adjusting your sag with the onboard computer for single, single with bags, double, double with bags.

Love my 900 Rally Pro....  @ 450 pounds It's borderline too heavy for off-roading.    I don't mean that as a detractor, it's plenty capable off road and I can't believe some of the places it's taken me.   I spend most of my time off road with it.   It can be a bitch to pick up...I know, because I've dropped it a number of times.   Mud and sand suck on these top heavy ADV bikes.

I'd buy a 1200 RP if I was doing more road touring and less dirt.    That extra 40 pounds makes the 1200 even more difficult to pick up.

I've beat the hell out of the 900 for nearly 3 years and it's never let me down...reliable as hell.

A few pics to remind you of what you'll be picking up with an adventure bike.

Doesn’t look like Scotts or Parabolic offer a steering damper for the 900RP? I’ve found they work great on the KTM 890R in sand.
