Just wanted to show off the new ride and ask a few questions. If this belongs in off road feel free to move.
2023 250 XC-W TPI! Moving to this bike from a 2018 300 XC-W carb bike. I got a crazy deal from my dealership, couldnt turn it down.

Ive got a riding trip to Ketchum Idaho in July. Im assuming the TPI system should acclamate itself to the altitude. Any thoughts/tips/tricks, even on TPI itself. Its my first TPI bike.
I also need a spark arrestor for the trip. The price difference between a whole muffler with spark arrestor and just an end cap arrestor insert is negligible. Anyone have experience or brands they would recommend?
Would the insert or muffler change require any tuning? Is this something the TPI system can account for?
I have only rode it in my field doing a few heat cycles to break it in but the power is definitely different than my carbed '18 300. Its a 250 vs. 300 so its to be expected. I know I need to get it out on the trails to give a fair comparison.
Thanks again!
Congrats! Guess you gotta change your name to ktm250xcw2023 now.
Lol i was thinking on that. Not sure if theres a way to do it.

Thanks man, ill check into it.
Congrats! I’m closing in on 50 hours on mine. I use the standard FMF Turbine Core 2 and I like it for its smaller size compared to the other one from them. I also run an Enduro Engineering pipe guard.
They are very smooth and corner well. I’m going to try a 50-tooth rear sprocket next to move the gears up just a bit as I ride more open stuff.
Enjoy your bike!
Thanks. Will do. Thats good to know. Did you have to do any tuning for the muffler or does the TPI work itself out? Muffler is a pretty small change overall.
It was fine, no issues.
