Hey bud! Welcome to GA. I’m in Lawrenceville ga, so a hour or so away but there’s some cool tracks close to you. I have 4 kids under 9 so it’s been busy over here but still riding.
Ringgold is about 30 minutes from me. You will have near you…
Shannon practice track
Lazy River MX - Dalton Ga
Calhoun MX - Calhoun Ga
Houston Valley OHV
SORCS is a good time if you want to get some competitive trail riding in.
There used to be a track beside the interstate at ringold exit . Nite sx track . Good times there back in the 80s , may still be there . Kenny kizzar would work guys over pretty bad there, lol
I’m 30 min away in Chattanooga. Quite a few options. The track at the 75/24 interchange unfortunately closed a couple years ago.

Why did it close down?
Tunnel Hill Motocross. That place was awesome.
My first race was there back in 2000. Up to that point, I had only rode on beat up practice tracks (Riverview for those of you that remember it as well), trails, and powerlines. I remember getting to Tunnel Hill and being absolutely blown away at how the dirt was, how big the jumps were, and how much I SUCKED compared to most of the people out there.
I think the people that owned it in 2000 sold it off a few years later and, from what I remember, the new owner got sick and had to sell it off again. I may be off on that, but the place closed back around 2012. It's just a big empty field on a hill now.
Yep,
Right on the Interstate. On the east side of I-75 back about 1987 or 88 at exit 401
One of the partners was Jim Payne. His son Danny was a local A rider. I think he was a member here at one time.
Anyway, city shut it down after a lengthy battle.
Tunnel hill, I think they called it southern sx, originally, was at 3 different locations on the west side of I- 75. I think they got one of the letters that ama used to send out telling them they could not use "supercross".
There's also some awesome mountain bike trails near there if you're into that, nice location!
Fast farms mx in TN shouldn't be too far from you
I only rode the Tunnel Hill track that was right next to I-75 on the side of the hill; the last location that it was at before closing. Jumps were massive there too. Tuesday and Thursday night practices were always a blast too. I remember in the early 2000s standing where the concession stand was there was a massive porch there everyone would stand on and watch the racing from. I remember you could go watch the 50 class and you could always count on at least 15-20 50 riders being in that on Saturday night. Martin Davalos and several others stopped in there from time to time. I was in the area the other day and drove over to the entrance of the track just to take a little trip down memory lane. I also drove by CMX entrance too. Mx used to thrive in that area in the early 2000s.
If you’re asking about Chattanooga Mx; it was closed down I believe for a magnitude of reasons. Crowds quit showing up I believe is one of them. I remember being in the area in 2000s and riding there a ton. I always remember people would complain about the track conditions and say the track was bad. If you remember correctly that track is literally right next to I-75. One of the straightaways on the track was not very far from going underneath the interstate so of course you wasn’t going to get optimal dirt conditions in an area like that. The fact that there was a MX track in the city was always so cool to me and more than enough. I know the owner dealt with health issues too. At one point; you could go practice at CMX on Thursday night, go watch dirt track racing next door at Boyd’s on Friday night, then go back across the interstate on Saturday mornings and ride a track called Battle Creek on Saturdays, camp on Saturday night and watch them drag race right next door at Brainerd drag strip and then race again on Sundays at Battle Creek. Entertainment Alley!
Yep im actually into MTB too! Good to know.
There’s also a place called Highland Park- there’s miles of trails and a couple of MX tracks all situated around a KTM dealership and rental cabins. Pretty cool place- I used to live in the area and still try to make it there once a year to see old friends.
I live right next to Pigeon Mountain WMA and it has some pretty cool MTB trails.
