How soon until part II?

Yeah, I was hoping it was all done at once and just split into two; not that we'd actually have to wait for another phone call. I wanna hear about Havasu from the horses mouth.

The cylinder story about his dads specs vs kawi's was gold.

Seems like I've heard that about Reynards dad on the 2002ish cr250's as well.

Wow, I have never heard Emig talk normally (not commentating / being interviewed) before- he is an intelligent guy! Good podcast.
P.s) "Bro-ing down" -Mathes... is that even a word? Haha

Check him out on the past DMXS shows; Emig's always a cool, normal guy when not commentating.

Fro's good people, all the riders should listen to him about what to do and what not to do. Later this week should be a Travis Preston podcast where he has some interesting things to say about his KTM days.

Matthes that podcast was awesome you covered all the bases, when fro talked about his crash at glen helen and he was describing the experience legs numb and seeing the dirt it made me recall my crash as well the description paralleled mine to a T. I totally felt the experience he was describing again and im not saying it was a good one but Fro described it about as best as I could ......that was a classic podcast for sure

Haven't had the time to listened to it yet, just downloaded it to my phone. I'm looking forward to the one with Preston, that should be good too!

Hey RCannon, are you the same "RCannon" with a trick YZ250 over on TT? If so, I really liked the red/white version you did (with the FLU-retro kit).

Fro podcast was great.

Short story about Fro.

I forget the exact year but if had to guess I'd say 1993...after the 93 SX race at the Rose Bowl I ended up being invited to hang out at Emigs house. My friend was good friends with Jbone and Jeremy was the one who invited us to the house. I had hung out with the Reche Canyon crew before but it had been a few years since I hung out with Emig. So I show up with my friend and my girlfriend and Emig really doesn't remember me but he was soo friendly and hospitable to a couple of strangers hanging out at his house at 1 in the morning. He shot some pool with my GF, offered us booze and food, and opened up his house as if we were close friends. The guy has always been a class act.

The going through the receptionnist and asking for the only rider with a title was cool. I might just call Fox for a chat with fro!! I wish he'd ask him about the crusty days. At the time in France the were not much tv race coverage and all you'd see of Emig, MC was at Bercy, Mxdn or the crusty and terrafirma video. And that just made those videos just looked real cool!!

Enjoyed both parts of that, Matthes. And the reason you don't remember much about his amateur days was because he went from 80's to Pro in a little over a year. In early '88 I was at a race in TX and looked over and he was lining up 2 spots down in 250B. I was like WTF, I just was watching him on TV at the GSN on an 80 (which was taped in early '87.) He had grown about a foot in that time.

But i always thought it was funny that Kawi fired him for weed, but when Lechien got busted, somehow Ronnie ended up with a huge contract from them. Guess they are down with smoking as long as you are winning...haha.
