From what I’ve seen the only engine failures are from two things, the Y fitting for coolant leaking, or a few bad cylinders cracked and leaking. Other than the electric PV the engine isn’t really any different than previous generations.
My engine isn’t loud and where are all the blown up ones? I haven’t yet seen that anywhere.
The clutch’s on the Ktm”s, 2 and 4 are noisy, but very durable. Maybe adding to the noise…

Ok so I put the pipe on today and ride it quickly
through my field. It feels like it pulls better throughout the whole rpm range and has a lot more over rev. It pulls right to the rev limiter. I’m going riding this weekend and will update a actual ride report.

Sounds like the 24 XC models will have a spring fork and I think it will be shared with the new W models. I'd have to assume they will have different spring rates and valving but makes sense to consolidate the fork offerings a bit. The latest air fork is pretty damn good so I'm curious to see how the new spring fork will be.

If they built the carbon Kevlar silencer for the 23 300 I’d buy their setup. I have the FMF stuff right now.
Just ordered the works pipe and 304 silencer for the old tre hundo. I’m stoked to get this thing on there.
Just use a leaf blower
My check engine light was flashing periodically. No series of flashes or anything to match to codes from the manual. Apparently the start/stop switch is not water proof and can short out when washing the bike. Took it in to get the codes cleared and was told I also had a mandatory re flash. Rode pala today after the re flash and my bike definitely runs way better now. Leaner, crisper and really just way faster. If you got your bike really early like I did I’d take it in to see if you need the updated map.

MXA noted this as well, cover the start/ stop control in plastic before washing. I stay away from the map switch & start/ stop with the water, usually just take a damp sponge & wipe them down.
I read that Saturday night and ordered it Monday morning...can't wait to get it. I don't even really care about more power as I am to having it run clean.
The real tuning is within the ECU …. KTM did not make it easy but Guys are working on this…

This makes me think he was paid to do that review. Anyone else feel the same? Not saying it cant be a great set up but that sentence threw me off a bit.
I must have the newest update because this bike runs spot on from idle to wide open.
Only thing I'm worried about is the recommended 15hr piston replacement.
While I do like his tests . I now take his endorsements with a grain of salt .
Well - I love my 2023 SX300 - one have one issue.....
I checked the owners manual online (there goes 2 hours) and did not find an answer.
My green light and white light stay on and will not turn off. Therefore I can not switch between the two.
Took it off the battery - let it sit for 45 minutes and same issue after I re-connect.
Anyone else have both green and white lights on ?
Mine works correctly without issue. I use a pressure washer and don’t really avoid washing the mapping switch off when spraying it down. Some say that the switch is not waterproof, but I haven’t had any issues with mine yet.(fingers crossed) But sounds like this “could be” your problem…
The start/stop button did short out and drained my battery. Almost got stuck out in the boonies. Thank you KTM for adding the capacitor to enable it to be bump started. I replaced the start/stop switch with the Motominded BBS switch which is waterproof.
That switch looks way better, is it easier to push than the factory one?
I was not a fan of the stock start/stop switch. Looked at the Motominded as well which looks awesome. Ended up buying the split switch from Nihilo and love it. If it bothers you, you have two good options. Much better feel than stock. Not a big deal for moto but for dead engine starts in harescrambles...the improved tactile feedback is great.

I did install the Raptor 10mm back and 5mm down pegs and can say they were awesome. My foot was getting stuck under the shifter occasinally which was very annoying. I tried raising it one spline but then it felt like too much. The pegs made it perfect for me. I wear a size 13 boot.
You likely have moisture in there. Take it apart and dry it out.
