I only see Lawrence stealing points from Sexton. Tomac, all summer long.

EDIT: They may all have their hands full with Ferrandis, too

Chase Sexton and Jett Lawrence are gonna give Eli Tomac and Yamaha the Shake and Bake outdoors.

I'm probably in the minority here, but I don't think Jett Lawrence is a bad choice.  He's one of the few next level talents; he did incredible on his 450 debut at the MXoN, and has a lot of confidence in himself.

Tomac would my pick since I think he's at his peak in performance, but that doesn't mean Jett is a bad choice.  People discounted Ryan Dungey in 2010 because it was his rookie season in the 450, but he proved the naysayers wrong.  Same with Dylan Ferrandis in 2021.  He came out swinging in his rookies season in the class and took control of the series, which brings me to another point:

We can name three clear contenders in Tomac and Sexton who are probably the favorites.  And Jett, who I think will do better than expected, but what about Ferrandis?  He showed incredible speed at the MXoN.  If he carries that over to the 2023 Nationals, he will be right up front and a serious threat for the title if he can stay injury free.  Whatever the outcome, it's going to be fun to watch.  This is really shaping up to be one of the great eras of sx/motocross.

If you think Jett is better than Ferrandis, then Iโ€™ll have 2 of whatever you are drinking..

I think Jett is definitely better than Ferrandis. Currently drinking a soda water if you want one.

I think theyโ€™re both relatively unknowns at this stage.
Ferrandis because weโ€™re not sure where heโ€™s at. Will he come out swinging like 21, or is he still building back up? I hope heโ€™s charging.

Yeah when saying I think Dylan will be better, Iโ€™m assuming he is healthy and ready.

Honda and Yamaha both have a pair of riders that could win it. I wouldnโ€™t count Dylan out

Ferrandis won when Eli was a moto win and a 7th type guy.  He was half a foot in retirement before he got this recharge with Yamaha.  Ferrandis is no slouch but he wonโ€™t be a regular factor with the three mentioned.  I wonโ€™t be shocked if Jett wins it but Iโ€™m rooting against it.

Jettโ€™s an amazing rider but heโ€™s gonna have his hands full this summer.  Hopefully he stays off the ground.

Great to see my pole has some movement and not surprised that Dylan has plenty of mentions but do we really think with all of his time off with injuries that he will be amongst it ๐Ÿ˜ฌ Last year he was okay nothing special until Bam Bam took him out of the series, just saying. My mind tells me there will be 3 Alphas and sorry to hurt multiple feelings but Jett has this 23 MX 450 Title on lock ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

I think this a a bad take saying he was nothing special until the BamBam escapade.

I'm pretty sure Dylan only raced 4 outdoor motos last year. He missed the first 8 rounds due to injury right before the series started.

Although still completely unhealed,

- He went 4-10 at Unadilla in debut at round 9.

- Then 6th in the first moto at Budd's before the Barcia incident in the 2nd moto.

Fair enough I just want to put it out there that I have always been a massive Dylan fan ๐Ÿ˜Ž I love his never say die racing style and have enjoyed his 2 X 250 SX Titles and his 250 MX Title and his 450 MX Title ๐Ÿ’ช He is a multiple AMA Champion both SX and MX!!!

How many homegrown Americans can claim the same titles?

I would, too, because it would mean that he matured and quit racing to retaliate, and started racing to maximize results.  Is he really willing to learn some new tricks?
