Indentured servitude is not slavery, obviously. Indentured servitude didn’t ‘evolve into slavery’. They are different in very important ways.

Slavery was horrible. Although we weren’t the only place it was happening, I still think it was a stain on our country. 
 

But, we also fought a war to free the slaves. 
 

The blacks in our country today have never been anyone’s slave. 

As bad as slavery was for their ancestors, have they ever thought about what their lives would be like if their ancestors hadn’t had to endure slavery ?

Not sure what you are asking......

Slavery did not 'evolve' from indentured servitude.  They are separate categories.  Claiming that they are the same or even virtually the same is simply not accurate.

Approximately 460K slaves were brought from Africa to what would become America and America itself.

9.3M slaves were actually born in what would become America, or America itself.    So your description is accurate for about 1 out of every 20 slaves that were in America.
