Let's see if we can't be winners as fans and show the other countries the respect that is well deserved.

Our boys did a great job this year and they did it with out the usual superstar or two that we normally have the benefit of so we should all be very proud.

I feel a little bad for the Italians, but that's racing.

They are just trying to get some crap started. Ignor and show that we Americans can be humble winners.

Congrats, USA deserved the win, great rides by all.

Too bad about the carnage in Moto 3, kind of took the edge off the racing excitement. Now I just have to figure out how I'm going to get to Colorado next year...

Congratulations you guys. Fully deserved win. You rode solid all day.

I think you can all admit that it's a very humble win considering all the bad luck Italy, France, Belgium and Australia had.

I guess you make your own luck though.

CONGRATULATIONS AGAIN !!!!! Can't wait until next year in Colorado.....hopefully i can come over.

Personally I feel bad for the Italians, the French and the Ausies. They all looked "better" than the Americans to snatch the overall this year around (on the paper) but somehow they all managed to collect a bunch of DNF's. Hell, Davide and Byrne even managed to take each other out in the second moto.

But this is racing, staying on your wheels is part of the sport, USA proved (once again) to be the most consistent team on the top, so big congrats to them.

Oh and yeah agreed on comments above. Once again, Congrats USA!

how did carioli crash?
10/4/2009 8:22am
someone came in hot from the outside of the start and pinched his front wheel, bike flipped thru the air and went from factory bike to fubar in half a second.

It was good racing, and I'd say 3 other countries just got struck with horrible luck. AC and Philiaprts (not even close to correct spelling, I know) and Reed and Desalle and many others rode very very well.

See you guys in Colorado next year!!!

Congrats to our US riders. They rode great, even though many considered them to be the underdogs. Congrats also to the GP riders that rode well. They proved that they are fast and without them, this race would be meaningless.

So what did you guys think to Cairoli, Philippaerts and Musquin ???

I'd love to see these 3 go into the AMA

Yeah i think they should aswell. I'm not trying to shit on your victory but i would of loved to have seen Cairoli and Reed get around that first turn cleanly like the first moto.

I can't believe all of the freak accidents that happened today.

Congrats USA, Overall it was a great day of racing, first and second race were really good, Abit sad that heat 3 didnt really turn in to the battle i had hoped whit Reed, Dungey, Tony, phillapherts, Desalle and Paulin uppfront in the start. On a sidenote i never want to see Paulin on a 250 again, he belongs on the 450.

Feel bad for the Italians but, who ever wins does deserve it, so congrats again USA.

do they need this race to prove they are fast??
heres my strange view on this.

usa say they have the fastest riders on the planet
euros say we have a far greater depth of talent

usa struggle to win a race, so are they the fastest single riders???
a euro team cant win a team event so do they have the depth???

get what im saying???

Congratiolations with your win from Belgium. Well done.

We saw some exciting racing today. Definitly one of the highlights this year in mx/sx.
In fact congratiolations to ALL the riders up there in Italy, for giving us such a nice raceday.

GP's still have more depth as a series. When it comes to depth in a team of 3 riders then look no further than the Americans. To be honest i don't think theres much of a difference in speed anymore.
