I wonder if it is televised live in any other countries?

Seems strange that a big country like usa cant watch the event on tv when the rest of the world can..

Ask yourself.. WHY? I dont think it's Mr Luongo fault this time..

Yes it is. Youthstream has a TV package that shows the GP's and the MXDN in many Euro countries. But nothing in North America.

Biggest race of the race? I would have disagree. The only proof I have is that, other than the hard core motocross fan, no one in America knows what the MXDN is or what is means. Just like were discussing about in this post, it's not shown on TV outside of Europe.

All of us in the Motocross industry thinks it's a very cool event thou.

I could be wrong but as far as I can remember I don't think we've ever had it live on T.V. in the U.S.. Not even when it's raced in the U.S... I think before Mediazone a 4-5 yrs ago I had never seen one live before. Back then we used to have to pay on the internet. At least it's free now and I'm glad it's on the internet because you get very few commercials.

Wait.. are you telling me that it's not the biggest race because it's not that popular in the US?

We have important things like reruns of Nascar on here at 4 in the morning.

I could care less though. My 50in lcd is hooked up to my computer.

you guys are amazing....... yes, networks are clammoring to air live, a race 7 hours ahead of est.

And those saying its not YS fault, its MXSports, or AMA, or DC's fault... i swear some of you must have to wear a helmet to not hurt yourself on your keyboards, right along with the drool protector, and the short yellow bus that picks you up for school.

YS owns the TV rights, they wont even profit share with the teams or the riders, they are %100 for self profit, wtf makes you think they would do anything to bring the tv here. YS will change MX, mark my words, and for the better of the riders, NOT the piece of shit promoter. period. Tis is a classis example of someone raping something for all its worth to make as much money as possible until it chokes everyone involved but 3 or 4 top people and sets things back 10 years..... YS = AIG, PERIOD

True, I can't remember the MXdN ever being on TV either. I don't care who should be blamed, it still sucks.

Have you actually watched a MX webcast with your setup yet? I have the same setup.. good luck.

Here in Belgium we get it live on tv just like we get most GPs live (if Clijsters isnt plaing tennis or something)

But the webcast is pretty good, but there may be some problems now with all you americans hogging the line:D

It sure has the potential for mainstream TV popularity in the US. USA vs the world! Sounds like an easy sell to me. Maybe live wouldn't have worked due to the time zones but if it aired later that day all would be awesome.

No excuse here in Australia. It would have been prime time on the West coast. We have zero hype and zero coverage here and we are one of the favorites. It sux

Seems like it could possibly be a bigger deal in the US if it was actually promoted as the biggest race in Motocross. Instead, we get the US Open...

The US open is the worst event ever invented. Lets take the top 40 sx riders and cram them into a little casino arena. Brilliant!!! If you're going to give it any prestige run it at the L.A. colisium or something.

I agree. Just like most of our MX races, it certainly wouldn't need to be live.

I'm surprised that as " the most dominant country in motocross " you don't get it live. I have my sky+ recording it all live from the beautiful channel that is motors tv.

Every single GP race and des nations is live with no commercials.

I could ring my mum and get her to record it all to dvd and try and get the dvds out to you yanks.

With all this Olympics talk lately, how realistic is it to consider Motocross being an Olympic sport? BMX made it's debut last year. Snowboarding made it in the winter Olympics. Motocross is older than both of those sports combined I'd say. Is there a history to this, that I've just never been informed of before?

Yep, I also "get to" watch most of the local high school football baseball games on the internet as well.

I would say zero chance of any motorsport ever being in the actual Olympics.

Ok. I guess I don't consider Motocross a motorsport for some reason. I think of the physical aspect of it. I forget that 99% of the population is retarded, and doesn't understand that. But you are correct, I believe. Would be cool, but I won't be holding my breath.
