RV 450 > Mike 350
RV 450 > Mike 450
RV 350 > Mike 450
RV 250 > Mike 250

There Both outside warriors and Hang off the throttle Hard and Hate to Lose, I say they'll be pretty Even. Either bike on the stopper will be just as fast. Someone super smooth like Windham needs the 450 power out of corners to go fast.

He'll do just fine im surprised there are so many that can see into the future on here.....hey can someone give me the lottery numbers for saturdays drawing?

That's a pretty good question actually. A lot of guys can't use the full power of the 450, but Mikey can. We've all seen top 250 riders turn the same (or better) laps as top 450 riders. Maybe 350 is the magic number.

i think this is the year mike will make RV look a little silly.. Not a big fan of Mike, but an outdoor only program will benefit him greatly

This remark is just plain silly. Mike make himself look silly enough let alone making RV look silly.Silly

if the bike is worth a shit, mike will haul ass as usual and will do just fine, will he win it all? health and welfare will be the key for all of em.

there may be other "playas" involved too, dungey and grant and james and...

That is unless they go down together. Then RV would need the e-start, we know Mike would kill it.

a healthy mike alessi is a pretty dangerous threat to anyone, especially RV. why are you guys denying this? hell no one even really got to see him outdoors on the 450 this year.

I don't think he is MX only he is sitting out the SX season to prepare for the 2010 nats AND most importantly develope the bike since it will be a first year bike. Tyla did it last year with PC only he didn't have to set up a first year bike but he did skip the SX season to prepare for the outdoors.....Mikey will do good on that 350, he could set the mx world on fire if he does well proving you don't need a 450 to compete and if it does in fact go that way he might start a 350 revolution which will be his legacy. For those that think the bike will be underpowered think again power to weight it will be just as fast as a 450 Caroli proved that this year in the GP's riding a YZF400 and won the MX1 title so there is no reason to believe the 350 won't have the ponies to compete.

I hate to say it but I saw 2 healthy riders at Glen Helen. One that had a huge lead and one that won with a huge lead. My money would 100% be on the one that won.

Well put Bobby.
2 years ago there were some great battles with RV, 800, J Grant, J Law, and others on 250F's. I see no reason why those battles won't continue on in the 450 class. Add in stalwarts like Short, Tedesco, Byrne, Milsaps, and it looks even better. I think Metcalfe is moving up, and riders like Moss, Langston, Brayton, etc. are all capable of getting on the box too.

Speaking of the 2010 MX nationals, is Townley still broken, or is he waiting in the wings for a comeback?

Exactly! Mike had a huge lead before Ryan caught him, passed him, and proceeded to check out.

Well I guess that settles it, first race of the year makes the champion.. Congrats RV on your 2009 mx title...Wait, he didn't win?? But but but ,he beat Mike at round !!!! So that means he had Mike covered the rest of the races. Guess you won't be watching any outdoors after round one? Way to go nostrodumbass...

I know right? Seems as soon as RV won one race they were calling im the second coming of RC ......give it a rest some people are so quick to jump on the bandwagon as soon as a racer wins they get signed with a factory team and it doesn't pan out RV is a badass but only time will tell weather he will be a champion in the big bike class none can predict that

The racing will be good between Mike and RV. Those 2 cats had the field covered this yr. If Stewart decides to race then RV and Mike won't matter because the battle between them will be 20-25 seconds behind Stewart for 2nd and 3rd.

Mike made a mistake at GH this year. He slowed down because he though he had a big enough cusion. He was wrong. I think it should pan out that Mike and Ryan are pretty even overall. But who knows. Nobody until they line up at GH in 2010.

I loved the season when RV and BT battled. Too bad BT has a "glass jaw"Sad and won't be a factor.

I can see a 350 doing well in supercross, ("kill switch" isn't racing it) but imagine Glen Helen's uphills or Unadilla, a 450 would kill a 350.

The 350 will do ok on tight SX tracks, but its going to get Fk'n OWNED on large MX tracks, by the guys who can ride the 450's all out.
