I do not know Larry Brooks. I just know that controversy seems to find the guy. When was the last time Tim Ferry was a part of a single ounce of moto drama? I just think that LB is a very determined, "whatever it takes" mentality. I think TF is just a hard working, honest, out of the spotlight work horse.

Look at Reed, although he is far from the top of my favorite rider list(my fav is in a race truck these days). I completly could not stand chad when he was with L&M. I didnt mind him when he was with team yami. Then he seemed to turn into a bit of a drama queen for a few years when he was with L&M. He became a cry baby at times, always had an excuse and was "too big" for the magazines and fans.

Now that he is under RD at the yellow team, I am seeing a little bit of Carmichael in him. No excuses just puts his head down, races hard and walks away humbly winning or accepting defeat with a grin on his face.

I think the atmosphere, whatever it may be at L&M would be the reason TF finally hung it up and retired.

I hope I have proven that I am not a 6 year old, or an idiot, and that their is a reason behind the opinion I shared above.
I think you're pulling stuff out of your ass. Tim Ferry has rode for Larry Brooks before (Team Chaparral) and by all accounts it was good for his career.

Larry is a different guy, but he knows how to run a team and will do anything for his guys. As a rider, that's what I'd be looking for.

Corndog, if you sat down and had a corndog with Brooks, you would come out of the meeting thinking he's a good guy. Despite his not always perfect internet message board posts, he's a true fan of moto.

This guy IS moto, he's a fan, enthusiast and has been his whole life. I worked for him for a year and came to a couple of conclusions. First, this guy is intense. Second, he's a straight shooter and in this industry, that's rare. You may not agree with him but he's going to give you his feelings on a subject.

Anyways, I know the Ferry to L&M has been discussed by everyone involved but it's a LONG way from happening. Good bench racing topic though.

My personal feelings? Well, the food over at L&M is pretty good, I know the guys there and it would be a fun truck to hang out at. The Kawi guys are awesome also, it could be a real battle if it comes true.
I just don't see L&M having the money to sign 15 because they don't need to offer a lot with that bike and team exposure. They will have good dudes ready to ride for free and I'm not sure Red would do that. Let's wait and see!

As long as its not Hill, like there were talks of earlier. SX only is just plain stupid.

But if you're gonna go SX only, you need to earn it. Like MC and K-Dub and Red Dog all have.
