Yes I know who Oscar Diaz is! He is from West Palm Beach. He rides 250 A and is pretty fast. I dont know about him getting shot, is there proof of this? This would be the 2nd rider getting shot and killed going to 3rd world countries!

I said this before when the rider went to Mexico and go shot an killed, these areas are full of killers and thiefs. These bastards need to be killed but they run free in these countries like Mexico, Costa Rica, Nicarauga. You need to have a gun to protect yourself in these areas! Its really makes me sad to hear that a local rider from my area was killed by a bunch of fucking drug selling bandits!

Oscar Diaz was a close family friend to us and raced in the A class with my Brother Brad Bollmann.... Oscar was a great kid with a warm heart. We All new him from his crazy outlook on life and his big smile he always had on his face.. He had a promising future ahead of him and had much talent.....Oscar got shot and killed at a Race in gautemala.. after winning supposvily ..they were tailed after swtiching vans.. true story he was the only one who got killed and shot others just injured i believe ... The full story hasnt got out yet. It happened Last Night... It kills the motocross family really bad to no such a close person can get brutely shot like that... His family is in our prayers dont take life for granted its to short people he and his family are great people who mean more then well.. they have hearts of gold.... GOD BLESS you Oscar and the family ... We truley love you and you will never be forgotten always missed and blessed your in a better place now Sweetie... looking down on us .....Keep the sky lite with your smile

Oscar was like a brother to me. My dad mom and my self dropped Mario off at the airport this morning he left for costa rica @ 6:30 this morning arriving @ 1:15 FL time.. Javi wasnt with him I dont even know if Javi knows yet I cant get ahold of him since he went back to Equador. Oscar and Mario were the most amazing ppl i have ever met! He will be missed sooooo much. and Thank You ALL very much for caring this much! It means a lot to me!! I LOVE YOU OSCAR!!

Anyone who knew Oscar was touched by a very friendly and humble young man. He always had time to talk with the little guys and never thought himself any better. I'm glad my son got to meet and ride those 30 minute moto's at Area 51 with Oscar. He looked up to him more than any of the other top tier riders in Florida because Oscar and his Dad always had words of encouragement and would come and check on him if he ever had a little spill.

God Bless you young man you sure left a shining example for my little guy to follow.

This is so sad. That family is so amazing and go out of thier way to help anyone. I have seen it first hand many times and I had been riding the same practice days with them a few years ago and then in a race I busted my radiator and He and his dad ran and got one of his and helped get it on and we had never even had talked. After that they were always very friendly. I know Oscar ran up front at LL's a few years in B and maybe A too. This is unbelievable. He is a great kid with a good head on his shoulders and never deserved anything like this. My families thoughts are with his. Sad, angry and totally in shock.

Oscar was such a mentor to our oldest son. Our little ones truly loved and enjoyed being around him,he always had time for them.Our entire family will miss him.

Oscar was a really cool and nice kid. I have had to ride him back to his truck a few times at the old track by my house. And ever since then he always came and talked to me with a smile on his face. I saw him last weekend after gatorback at dinner and he was telling me how his bike broke on him or something and yet he was still smiling and having a good time. Oscar was a good rider and will be missed greatly in the motocross world.

hey guys... I'm Guatemalan, and i was able to see Oscar racing the same day he got shot...
I've heard a lot of diferent things about why he was killed... but apparently, he was being sponsored by a drug dealer...

I saw them at the race, in the same vehicles that they where shot... a Ford F250, a Ford Lobo and a Range Rover... Usually that kind of cars belong to drug dealers (at least in countries like mine). So I'm pretty sure that the attack wasn't meant for him, but for his sponsor, who was traveling with Oscar...

I trully fell bad for what happened to Oscar... He was a awesome rider!! RIP
I'll leave some photos I took the same day he was shot...

Guatemala is kinda of a shithole too...way worse than CR. either way bummer for the kid and the family.

Damn shame, thanks for the update. Hanging out with the wrong crowd type of deal. Seemed like a very liked person from all the post i see here, RIP OSCAR!!

I hate reading stuff like this. I had the pleasure to see Oscar ride a couple times and he was definitely a good rider. Oscar will be missed and prayers go out to his family and friends. RIP Oscar

Lot's of racers here in the states are sponsored by drug dealers and nobody knows it. Fortunately they don't shoot each other on a regular basis up here.

i was with mario. he and oscar are very good friends. mario was waiting for a call to see how oscar did. then the bad news came. i work for a company that has dealers in latin america especially guatamala and costa rica. we are trying to get all the information that we can and i will post everything i learn.
