He Guys,
I just bought a 1984 Yamaha yz 125. I already disassembled the bike and now planing on the restoration.
Does anyone have some tips for upgrades on the Bike? is there anything I should change or upgrade? Or does anybody have tips for a source for parts?

Google search for the technical bulletin Yamaha used to put out back then call wrench report. People have them up online now I would download the 84's and 85's. Those two years where pretty similar.
Find a 83 cylinder to make it run better.
Like poster above said get an 83 yz125 cylinder. It bolts on. Huge upgrade.
For a restoration they 84/85 are a sharp looking bikes in yellow or red/white, however for vintage racing they are so slow the YZ80's of that era may even be faster. The wrench report mods did very little, we had Pro-Circuit do a full head/cylinder mod along with a new pipe and boyesen reeds for a customers 1985 YZ125 = it was still slower than the stock 1984/85 KX125's we also sold. Yes the 1983 cyl is a must have for performance.
