My son recently moved to Austin and is promoting meeting up for the Arlington SX round.  Any advice regarding tickets, accommodations, food, drink, etc.?  I'd likely fly into DFW and grab a hotel room or two, and the kid (and buds) would drive up from Austin.  We've hit Seattle SX multiple times, and I've also hit A1, Vegas, San Diego and Atlanta so we know the drill from a generic perspective, but I'm wondering about any local knowledge.

Appreciate any hints!

AT&T Stadium is surrounded by parking lots so get parking passes by going to the stadium website. There's lots of hotels and restaurants around the area so that just depends on how much you want to spend. Only headache we've ever had was just trying to get into and out of the parking as the cops tend to have traffic patterns that just tie everybody up. Inside the stadium food and drink prices are pretty ridiculous so go eat before you go to the races.

Make sure you go to the Book Depository to take in some history.

There is about 100 hotels within 5 miles of that stadium.

If you stay at the hotels right around the stadium you'll usually see lots of riders/team members eating breakfast on Saturday inside your hotel. Those usually book up fast and tend to be more expensive, but there are lots of options 5-15 miles out. Do not park at the Wal Mart, or your vehicle will get towed. Just pay the high parking fee and go on. There are bars in restaurants across the street at Texas Live that I think get pretty crowded between Practice and Heats, but heard it's a good time. Also, there are some cool little bars a few miles up the road with music that are fun to hit up after the race. Tons of restaurants around because the stadium is next to Texas Rangers, Six Flags, and Water Park. And Ft Worth is just down the road if you want to stay there and hit up the honky tonk scene.

Definitely do NOT park at the Walmart. There can be 30 semis there but they'll yank you out of there in 2 minutes.

Tickets, I have been sitting in the C307-314 section for the past couple years. Pretty good seats. They are on the higher side price wise.

Its one of the better rounds in my opinion, usually a one of the biggest crowds, almost a football atmosphere because there is a lot of tailgating going on.  Its one of the more expensive venues as far as parking, food and drinks, so its worth tailgating between qualifying and the night program (feel free to stop by my tailgate, we always have plenty of food and alcohol).

pro tip:  Inside the stadium on the main level 1 there is a large bar area that you can watch the entire race from, even with the cheapest ticket

Went two years ago and stayed at the Live! by Loews. Nice hotel, very short walk to the stadium. There are restaurants next door you can eat at. Got to see some industry people in the hotel.

Thanks for the hints!  Live! by Loews looks awesome but holy sticker shock!  In addition to my son's crew, I'm trying to recruit a few friends from up here so we'll probably need 3 rooms.  $600 plus per night will add up fast!

Giddyup!

Why would you consider $ 600 a night ? Stay across the highway for a fraction of that and take a Uber less then 3 miles from there.

Wow, thats quite a bit more than when I went. I reserved my room pretty much when the schedule came out and it was 2021. Guessing cause Covid was still big the rooms were not that expensive. I think I paid like $156 a night?

The whole venue has got so overpriced. If you are in the nosebleeds it’s best to just watch at home. You are going to spend most of the time staring at the ridiculously large screen anyway. God I miss the old stadium for Dallas Supercross. It was a much better experience. I hate that place.
