well I heard he was riding one after southwick, but i think he should stay on 250 and try to do what dungey this year and win both titles.....plus i would think it would easier for him to get a 25o ride rather than a 450....

the rumor was Canard on Suzook.
Good be a good fit as he'd be their only 250f guy.
Both titles for TC in '10 could be a good bet.

the AMA cancelled the rule that made TC be forced to move up.

I agree, and if CP doesn't move up he might be called a sandbagger...

I don't think cp should be called a sandbagger for defending his sx title and trying to get the outdoor one as well

I think Barcia's first SX season will be just like his first MX season. He will show great speed, maybe win a race or two but will probably make a few mistakes that will cost him a shot at the title. I hope I'm wrong, but that's how I see it.

Is he riding the East or the West?

If he is riding the East his chances may be better at getting a Top Spot OA in the series.
It would give a little him more time to get ready and he may be more comfortable on the East coast tracks, like Daytona. It also may just depend on what coast some of the other guys decide to race.Like, CP,Izzi,Canard,Wharton, Stroupe ,Etc.. If all those guys are on the same coast,he will for sure have his work cut out for him.

The last set of Izzi rumors that were floating around on the boards I heard were...
Divison7 / Star Racing Yamaha for 2010.
Never read anything after that about it.

He's not moving up till 2011 I believe he will stay at PC. I do believe he would be sandbagging the class......the 250 or lites class is for up and coming racers to spend a few years cutting their teeth in the pro ranks some will have immediate success most will not. CP is not in any of those categories, he is a seasoned GP rider with tons of experience at the professional level not like his competition and this year proved that. He flat out dominated the east coast and if not for a mechanical DNF he would've esaily taken the outdoors as well.

CP is a level above the current 250 riders cept Dungey and next year will be a yawner if he stays down.

Man Im not so sure about IZZi he had a VERY bad injury to both of his heels. I did one and it took a long time to recover. Some rider never comeback the same after an injury like that but Im hoping he does pull through because he has some mad skills on a bike.

They changed the rule last year which will allow him to stay on 250s one more year if he chooses to.

I personally think if Pourcel moves up the SX titles will be between Wharton,Dean Wilson,Wiemer,Canard and Barcia. I'd choose two if I knew which coasts they were going to race on.

This is CPs 5th year on 250s but he did miss most of one year injured. The real sandbagger is Tyla Rattray who's been on 250s since 2004. This will be his 7th straight year on 250s. The guys going to be on 250s when he's 40 the way it's looking.

Has anyone seen Barcia ride SX? Honest question.

As for CP on a 250 next year, I think anyone should be allowed to defend their title. No matter how long you've been riding the class.

kid been blitzing sx style tracks for years....and has been embarrasing guy's who make the show and get top tens since he was 15.

racing is a different story and shit goes down.

but riding?

no issues with sx.

this is no different from any talent in this sport. 15-16 year olds kids can go faster than the old guard but can they keep the speed in check.

riding is not the problem.

I think Trey is going to be back on form next year. If he and CP are in the same region, it'll be good racing.

I agree with that. Epecially if DeCoster is his team manager. I think if Canard gets on team Suzuki (DeCoster) he's a favorire to win the outdoor title next year no matter who's on the line with him.

Canard is already on a great team though, and I just don't see him leaving it. His 1st and 2nd years were kind of switched, with him making rookie mistakes in the 2nd year rather than the 1st. I really hope he can get some titles next year.

Barcia will be wreckers or checkers! he has the one commodity you have to have for SX, no fear!

you want to see the term "going for it" in action, that will be Barcia. If he doesnt break something, I cant see him not winning the whole thing.
