Personally, I have absolutely no problem with anybody's religious beliefs as long as they keep the proselytizing to a minimum. When it's on the podium of a nationally televised mx race, it comes across a little self righteous.
Here is a question of those who have faith.
If God/Jesus is Charles ( or whatever his name is) the old carpenter from Jerusalem or wherever an actual person, then who the hell is Satan, was he the plumber? sparky? or just someone made up by religion to instill fear?
Is/was Satan an actual person?
If indeed there was a god that existed outside the property of time and created this universe,
I highly doubt it would give a rats ass if anyone thanked it or not.
Now Larry Brooks on the other hand....

Also the Priests that wrote it left a lot of Gospels out of it.
Reason being, people in those times would have called BS and not followed them like they did.
It was written for nothing more then power and control.
Even Christianity proves that til this day, with it's horrible concept of hell it uses to control it's followers etc...
Don't you find it kinda funny that Jesus taught his disciples about one god and his followers about another god?
I think they can thank who they want.
I believed if they did paise allah or any god thats not JS most people would have a tizzy.
Pit Row
I would personally like to thank the apes for me being here.
If people believe in god then good on them but do you have to go to church every week to believe in god or is this just to convince yourself that god exists.
When we have a fallen rider do you thank god for him now not being able to walk.
if someone wants to thank god on the podium there should be no problem with this as this is his/her belief and it is good to have beliefs like i believe we come from the apes.
Why do religuos peoople tell you what you should believe in but don't want to listen to you when you tell them jwhat they should beieve in
I really don't get that the riders do this so much on the podium but it's their soap box I would really like to see what everyone's reaction would be if a rider thanked ANY other religious figure not related to christianity.........now THAT would make a 25 pager.
