As well as what Titan said, each driver must qualify for WRC. Qualification starts before the events on a timed stage. The top times are then seeded into the Rally we see on Television.

I could pick few lokal drivers from my living that would win over TP easy with or without
notes in the roadbook.

I saw my little brother and a bunch of other local clubmen flat out smoke both TP and Ken Block at the Colin McRae memorial stages last year.

It's cool that they're raising the profile of Rally in the states and i think they're both great marketing tools for Subaru USA. However, they're in cars as a result of being very successful in other fields.

Could Travis step away from jumping out of planes or hanging out with the Nitro Circus and commit to a season of WRC even if he was fast enough? I don't think so, but if i was having as much fun as Travis i would think it was too much like hard work too. He gave Decoster fits with his antics, you think a factory WRC manager would be anymore lenient when theres much bigger bucks on the line?

As for Ken, i don't know his current involvement with DC is and if he could walk away from that for a year but has he even won an american championship round? He's good at gymkhana i'll give him that, but that suits the X-Games more than the WRC.....

They don't have to be the best in the world, i bet they're having great fun with the gigs they've got and thats all what matters.

Well that was new for me that you need to qualify for WRC,
if you got FIA WRC licens you don't need qualify I guess.
They have training session with normal cars to personilised the roadbook for their
suit before the Rally is started.
The championleader allways start first.

The American rally championship is a glorified championship for retired x-games athletes and businessmen. Pastrana has no where near the talent it takes to be in the wrc.

I used to codriving and love the rallysport and use to watch all lokal rally's, 250 HP rearweeldrive Volvo's drifting in 90 mph on 7 yard's wide gravelroads
