You come up on my good buddy Rory O'Neill on his 82 Yamaha WR500, bike #3 at the 1:48 mark and pass him around the 3:05 mark.....too bad they didn't let you guys race

I was really upset about the cancellation. There were 4 of us still waiting around in the rain that wanted to go out and sling some mud. There were 3 of us from Jersey and one from Maryland that stuck around and kinda protested the cancellation. Then Alex Moroz stepped up and joined our cause. He was the guy that setup this event and he worked something out with FMF to still give away the trophies to us that stayed. We picked numbered stickers from 1-4 out of a hat and I got #4. They gave me a trick set of tie downs as a consolation, more practical than a trophy for a race I didn't even get to run. It was still cool of them to give out the trophies though.

I agree...still sucks they cancelled the race on you guys...I know Rory was bummed also

Bummer, sounds sorta like what happened at the MXoN a couple years ago, initially they were going to have amateur races and the impression was that it was going to happen on the big track but at the last moment they put together a track where the flatrack was and ran the guys there. I rememer wondering how that was going to play out and apparently it was too good to be true for whatever reasons. Sounded like the weather is what short circuited you guys attempt and too bad, looked like it woulda been fun even with the rain on it.. better luck next time ...
